Rarely am I as outraged by the dying Democrat "mainstream" media as I am today. Usually, inconsequential mice like Lauer can be brushed off like dandruff, but this latest cheap shot at Bush must get a full airing and should be seen by as many people as possible. You will get the idea quickly, within the first minute or so of this YouTube video (link below and above).
In the video you will see Lauer show a portion of his recent interview with Bush during which he asked Bush about Kanye West's declaration in the aftermath of Hurrican Katrina that, "George Bush doesn't like black people." Bush responded:
"It was one of the most disgusting moments of my presidency."
End of clip, and now back at the studio, here is what Lauer looks into the camera and says:
"Here's a two-term president who ran the country during Katrina, 9/11, wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the financial meltdown, and he's pointing the finger at Kanye West and that incident as the worst moment in his presidency."
See what Lauer did there? He turned Bush's phrase, "one of the most disgusting moments", into, "the worst moment", in order to paint Bush as being more concerned about the inane rantings of a self-absorbed hip-hop artist than he was about the mass murder of 3,000 Americans, the loss of our best and brightest young people in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, Hurricane Katrina, and the economic mess. Watch this video for yourself and keep your blood pressure pills within reach:
Matt Lauer's Disgusting Cheap Shot - the video
I realize that Lauer has never been accused of being the brightest bub in the chandelier, but even if some mischievous newsroom writers chuckled in astonishment when Lauer actually read the script they gave him, Lauer needs to be held to account. (And yes, shame on Bush for ever sitting down with this scumbag Lauer.)
No he's not.
Didn't your mother tell you that too much LSD is bad for you?
Kanye's father is a Christian counselor named Ray West.
I noticed Lauer's lie myself and would like to email him about it. His condescending sound bite will probably be used over and over. Does anyone know how to contact Lauer at the Today Show?
Don’t be too hard on poor Matt—he’s the female version of Katie Couric.
Good job, LH!
I thought it was Adam West............
Thank you!
BTW: In answer to your question about saving or “ripping” u-tube vids, if you use Firefox there are various extensions you can download and install. I prefer Video Downloadhelper.
Thank you!
Sorry, Lancey, I’ve been on the road and missed it.
This was one of the most disgraceful cheap shots I ever saw, and I’m old.
Have to agree, it’s a really cheap shot. This qualifies Lauer for the pond scum Hall of Fame.
A teacher told me this, and why such a sarcastic remark? Well, despite my political disagreements with Cornell, Kanye seems to not have nearly the class, sophistication and hope Cornell possesses.
Cornell is a pathetic race hustler who has milked affirmative action and liberal guilt for all they’re worth. Kanye is a goofball, but he’s an extremely talented goofball. He is certainly not the snake Cornell is. Anyway, that’s my opinion.
FRegards,
LH
PS I guess you now know what teacher not to trust.
I read Race Matters many years ago for a college course. I thought it was sincerely written. I don’t recall him pushing any political agenda, but I’ll trust that you’re right, and that he does.

As election 2012 approaches, you can count on Lauer and the NY Times and the rest of that ilk to grow more and more desperate, dishonest, and brazen in their attempts to fix the election for their rats.

I was just over at Drudge and saw that somebody named “Ann Curry” has been dumped from the morning NBC women’s program, and speculation is that she didn’t have good “chemistry” with scumbag Matt Lauer. Anyway, whenever I see that name, “Matt Lauer”, I throw up in my mouth a little and then bump my own thread here.
