Naomi Watts Toughens Up For'Fair Game'[Plame-Wilson Film "Reinforces Their Patriotism"]

Minutes after Naomi Watts, movie star, arrived at the CIA’s secret Virginia training center called The Farm, she was thrown to the ground in a way that left bruises.

When she cried out in pain, her instructor glared and informed her, “Don’t say 'ow’ again unless you need to go to the hospital.”

During the days that followed, she was “stripped of everything that cloaked her in specialness,” said director Doug Liman.

The actress chose the rough treatment, Liman said.

He chose Watts to play Valerie Plame Wilson, the spy who was outed in one of the most controversial episodes of the Bush era. Plame’s husband, Joe Wilson, wrote a New York Times opinion piece critical of the war in Iraq. Plame’s identity was revealed shortly after, prompting accusations of retaliation.

Mr. Wilson described as....."pompous, self-centered, egotistical,” by Karl Rove. Rove’s lawyer, Robert Luskin,"The movie will be a snooze;...the Wilsons are “a little past their ‘sell-by’ date.”

"Hollywood filmmakers are famous for ignoring facts to dramatise a story in two hours or less, but Plame and her husband Joe Wilson seem happy with the condensed version of their tale of global espionage, Washington politics and White House scandal", writes the Indian Express. "The real-life couple relish the opportunity it brings to reinforce their sense of patriotism to movie audiences"

I don’t wouldn’t blame them for blatantly lying in this movie. If only because that was one of the lamest political scandals in U.S. history. I hate the MSM for ever convincing me (briefly, in the beginning) that it was at all meaningful. What a waste of time, money, and effort.

Anyway, the mistake wouldn’t be to alter the facts. It’d be to make the movie at all. Because in order to stop it from being the boringest two hours of the year, you’d have to lie.

The ratter was Richard Armitage, one of Colin Powell's flunkies at State. He's the one who told Novak that Wilson's wife was CIA -- but he didn't mention her name.

Novak then looked up Wilson's wife in Who's Who and reported it.

THAT movie came out in 1983, titled “Daniel” it starred Mandy Patankin and featured Tim Hutton and Amanda Plummer.

Based on “The Book of Daniel” by lefty novelist E.L. Doctorow, it was a thinly disguised fictionalized retelling of the Rosenberg story, with names and characters changed. The mom and dad were portrayed as innocent martyrs of course.
