... posing for paparazzi on the red carpet earlier this month at a film festival in Deauville, France."

The NYTimes writes:"...the so-named Plame Affair destroyed Mr. Wilson's international consulting business, wrecked her espionage career and nearly destroyed their marriage." Plame describes their marriage in her book as a "slow slide into nothingness"

“The Spy Who Went Hollywood"?, but Ms. Wilson scoffs: “Please, no,”.. “We have had just enough peek into the world of Hollywood to know that it is just not of interest to us. It really is high school with money.”

Mr. Wilson described as....."pompous, self-centered, egotistical,” by Karl Rove. Rove’s lawyer, Robert Luskin,"The movie will be a snooze;...the Wilsons are “a little past their ‘sell-by’ date.”

"Hollywood filmmakers are famous for ignoring facts to dramatise a story in two hours or less, but Plame and her husband Joe Wilson seem happy with the condensed version of their tale of global espionage, Washington politics and White House scandal", writes the Indian Express. "The real-life couple relish the opportunity it brings to reinforce their sense of patriotism to movie audiences"

Sean Penn plays "Joe".

As I understand the story, she was never a “spy”

I don’t wouldn’t blame them for blatantly lying in this movie. If only because that was one of the lamest political scandals in U.S. history. I hate the MSM for ever convincing me (briefly, in the beginning) that it was at all meaningful. What a waste of time, money, and effort.

Anyway, the mistake wouldn’t be to alter the facts. It’d be to make the movie at all. Because in order to stop it from being the boringest two hours of the year, you’d have to lie.

Who’s playing that late, famous NEWSPAPER guy Robert Novak, who ratted her out, and NOT scapegoat Scooter Libby??

Feh. Another liberal rewrite of history. Refuse to spend any of my hard earned money on that crap. >:-(

Saw the preview when I went to see “RED.”

It took every bit of self-control I could muster to keep from throwing my Slurpee at the screen.

Actually, Joe Wilson ruined his own life...and his wife’s career by ratting her out in that NYT Oped...all to run a political hit on Dick Cheney.

He started the entire fiasco, and it spiraled out of control.

What a laugh. This movie is a fake. Plame was not a spy.

How did Sean Penn find time to make a movie when he has so much on his plate as the new President of Haiti?
