Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann dropped out of the race for House Republican Conference chair on Wednesday night, ensuring that the GOPs leadership elections will go on without any serious competition.
In a statement sent to a handful of reporters Wednesday evening, the tea party favorite said that Texas Rep. Jeb Hensarling has her enthusiastic support for his candidacy for the top messaging post in the GOP.

I guess that proves that he doesnt know what it means to be American.
I wish this woman would run for president. I think she is one of the most honest “public servants” I have ever seen.
If she backed out, she had her reasons. I just have to trust her based upon past performance.
“LOL I suppose Bachmann will now be called a RINO around here.”
BINGO! Give it a little while and she will be an elitist, establishment, “good old boy” Republicrat, who turned her back on the “MOVEMENT”. Around here, Ronald Reagan is a good for nothing RINO.
If you want to claim your man as a tea party supporter then prove it, but so far they never heard of him, he never led, he didnt try to get any elected, and the only time that we know that he was involved with them, it was to oppose them, and support the other side, even now he defeated a tea party leader for his leadership position, and was supported in that battle by the anti-tea party/anti-Palin leader, Cantor.
If you want to claim he is tea party, then show us.
That doesn’t make sense, and does not fit reality.
How does her getting defeated for a leadership position do any of that?
LOL! A few years ago, Cantor was an insurgent.
I never claimed he was my “guy” or in any of the “Tea PArty” rally. I merely showed you examples of his Congressional record that are right in line with the Tea Party and said that his record seems pretty “Tea Party.” And either pretending to not have read what I wrote or just not reading it all together, you want more proof?
And what is this “they never heard of him?” Who is “they?” Is “they” some sort of monolith people who you consulted and “they” said “they” never heard of him?
“That doesnt make sense, and does not fit reality.”
Well, for whatever reason she’s not going to get this role so she’ll have to move beyond this.
Today he is a Romney man.
Don’t bother yourself, this whole big movement is nothing for you to bother with, just carry on as you have.
I’m not challenging you, but I’d be interested in hearing your logic on that. I have considered myself a fiscal Conservative. I’m not sure what the down side of that is.
I believe there are things we should be spending money on, and things we shouldn’t be. What’s your take?
Pick your battles. There’s bigger more important battles ahead. The establishment getting behind another candidate for a committee chairmanship is pretty trivial compared to the other stuff coming up.
It’s NOT the battle but it’s the intent behind it.
Reminds me of ‘we have bigger fish to fry’ tactic. Use that one on someone half asleep.

Leave it to a 5 DAY OLD poster to tell a conservative ‘to pick your battles’.
It’s not a “tactic”. Read my posts.
Read my other posts moron. I’m 100% limited government. I’m Canadian and can’t vote in your elections anyway.
She would have been great in a GOP leadership position. Maybe she will change her mind.
