Log Cabin Republicans petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court to revive the legal battle over "don't ask, don't tell" after federal appeals court allowed the ban to stay in place indefinitely.
On Friday, attorneys for the Log Cabin Republicans filed an appeal in hopes of finally overthrowing the ban on openly homosexual troops serving in the military. The gay and lesbian group had expressed opposition to last week’s 9th Circuit Court of Appeals’ decision to indefinitely uphold the 1993 law.
In a Nov. 1 statement, Log Cabin Executive Director R. Clarke Cooper said, “Log Cabin Republicans is disappointed that Don’t Ask Don’t Tell will continue to burden our armed forces, undermine national security and limit the freedom of our men and women in uniform. “

I just wish they’d go away. To define yourself first as a sexual pervert is just plain wrong. And to try to poke Conservatives in the eyes with their perversion is deplorable. Why don’t they start their own party and go away?
I cannot tell you how tired I am of the back and forth of

should be the only ones to have a say, since they have to live

Yes, but if that were the case then DADT and the supposed ban on women serving in frontline combat units would persist indefinitely, and the Left simply cannot allow that.
A slyer group would have backed off at this point waiting for a more opportune time, but no the Logs want to go boldly before the USSC now. So let them, and I think the GOP agrees. More likely a snowball can be kept in a furnace than would this get a nod from any of the Conservative 5 (even Kennedy) because it’s so, so stupid to put political correctness before national survival. Even one of the liberals might upchuck at this one.
