I cannot tell you how tired I am of the back and forth of
this ridiculous issue. I think the military personnel themselves
should be the only ones to have a say, since they have to live
with the consequences of any changes. Geez!

Yes, but if that were the case then DADT and the supposed ban on women serving in frontline combat units would persist indefinitely, and the Left simply cannot allow that.
