Days after Democrats received a self-described "shellacking" at the polls, President Obama called for an end to campaigning and an embrace of compromise.

But he signaled no willingness to bend on the first challenge likely to face him

Ya know, in a way, our current society reminds me of the old days when one “had a car made”. You had the engine put in the frame and then sent to the “coachworks” where the “coach” was applied. One could spend a lot on motor and little on coach or vice versa. Seems to me what libtards have been asking for is a car with a great coach and no motor. Fine, if all one wants is to sit in the driveway, but an economy has to “get out and run.”

In January taxes will increase for just about everyone. Food and fuel prices are rising and the 99ers are just about done. It is going to get worse before it gets better.

OK, how's this one? Obama wants his tax increases? Cut the federal budget by three times the amount of the increases. Reduce funding of all government agencies and departments by 1/3 across the board: executive, legislative, and judicial. Reduce funding for the WH and its staffers by 75 percent.
