Mixed news. Glad to see grayson lose but we didnt' get the WVa Senate seat.

Sure it is.....gonna take the gavel from San Fran Nan....Fox is saying that Manchin will vote with the GOP to protect his chances in 2012 (he is up for reelection again in 2 years.)
Bingo.
Complete ground hold until we can get zero out - one way or another.
55+ seats is a tsunami. I believe fox said it has been decades since such a tidal wave in politics.
I agree - for all his talk about being socially and fiscally conservative, I don’t see him breaking against the Democrats in the Senate. In reality, it doesn’t mean a whole lot since in all likelihood it will be a mixed Congress. Nothing will get done, which is the best news the American people have had in years.
“Whether its better for our side or not, our side will have to deal with a Dem Senate.”
A 51-49 Senate is not the end of the world, because the Republicans can pretty much lock up any measures the Dims try to introduce.
Carl Cameron was pointing out, though, that Manchin only has 2 years - he’s only been elected to serve out the rest of Byrd’s term. He’ll have to vote against Cap and Trade and to repeal Obamacare or he won’t win in ‘12.
I grew up the son of a union man...a hard core dem until the day he died...and I woke up. I had just hoped more Americans would have. These exit polls are showing its not 100% about Obama...and it should be...
Some tips for John Raese for the next time he wants to run:
1. Don’t let yourself get tagged as country club rich guy who hangs out in Palm Beach.
2. Make sure your wife is registered in the state where are running.
3. Don’t let them record saying you inherited your money.
you’re trying to win office.
4. Avoid stupid ad gaffes.
Manchin practically ran as a conservative. Interesting to see how fast and far he flips.
Don’t get too discouraged. We aren’t going to get the Senate, but we will gain enough seats to offset the insane RINOS from Maine. And, with Dems still running the Senate, Obama can’t blame everything on the Republicans in 2012.
And we control the purse strings.

Unfortunately, nothing will get UN-done, either, and we don’t have the power to apply the pressure that’s needed to pull in the reigns on the 0bama’s “czars” and to stop him from using executive decree and bloated regulatory agencies to advance his communist agenda.
But I’ll take what I can get and hope that we can take more power next time.
Yeah, most West Virginians are as dumb as dirt, and I say that as a West Virginian myself. I personally hope Manchin goes to DC and immediately flips his support to Cap n' Trade and all the coal mines get shut down so the idiot union Coal Miners that supported him go from making $70,000 a year to a welfare check. Then we'll see if they still love "Good ol' Joe". (Well I don't really hope that because of the damage it would do to the rest of the country, but it would serve them right.)
If West Virginia is dumb enough to elect an Obama liar, they deserve what Obama has in store for them. And the Dems accuse the Repubs of being stupid hillbillies.....
55 is huge...don't get me wrong...it's big...but it gives dims cover. I wanted such a landslide as to crush them...so big that it would take 20 years of republican idiocy for the dims to gradually work their way back. ;-)
Of course...with a smaller victory and no senate...they may not get the message and we can kill them in 2012. I think they are defending 2:1 senate seats then.
I wanted 1894 :-)
The answer is in your question.
I wanted a pony.
I wanted a pony.
It's the Chicago fix, Illinois will forever be a rat state!
Q. What do West Virginians do on Halloween?
A. Pumpkin.
Shoot. I wonder if Nevada is going to be the same deal.
