US intelligence officials feared that al Qaeda terrorists in Yemen were plotting to attack the United States and actually intercepted what they now believe were "dry run" shipments to Chicago in mid-September, according to several people briefed on the plot and a senior US official.

I think that we are being told too much and that risks compromise of sources and methods. It would have been much better for these packages to have been quietly intercepted and just disappeared. That way the Peaceful Muslims Terrorists plotters would be less likely to know what happened.

I worked in the industry for 25 years, and this has always worried me. Now that it’s out there, maybe I’ll flesh out that novel after all.
There are very serious measures that have been taken to prevent terrorists using UPS or FedEx as their weapon delivery system, but what mostly scares me is that 200,000-300,000 employees of these two companies and former employees are out there, and it only takes one dedicated persistent evil person.
...not to difficult..remember there was a ring of crims some time ago that stuck extra pre-printed labels on packages from gun shops/manufacturers to steal firearms....
To be fair to Obama, he has made so many mistakes, he and his people overcompensate now by releasing too much info, too quickly. If it weren’t for the Saudis or the Brits or the Yemenis, what would have happened? Is it just me, or does it seem like we are being saved by luck and foreigners?
