Miller leads in Alaska
Joe Miller is favored heading into the final two days of the US Senate campaign in Alaska. 37% of voters say they'll pick him while 30% plan to vote for Scott McAdams and another 30% plan to write in Lisa Murkowski. Miller is winning despite having the worst personal favorability numbers of the three candidates. Only 36% have a positive opinion of him while 59% view him in a negative light. McAdams is by far the most popular with 50% rating him favorably to only 30% with an unfavorable one. Voters aren't very enamored with Murkowski either, giving her a 37/53 approval rating.
How can McAdams be so much more popular than Miller yet still be trailing the race? It's because 92% of the small group of voters that does like Miller is planning to vote for him. But only 56% of the voters with a positive opinion of McAdams are intending to cast their ballots for him, while 31% of them are going for Lisa Murkowski.
The high number of voters who like McAdams, dislike Miller, and are voting for Murkowski place the race in a whole different light than has been thought of the last few months. Murkowski's campaign, rather than propping herself up at the expense of Miller, may actually end up propping Miller up at the expense of McAdams. You never know how things would have unfolded in a two way race but Murkowski seems to be taking a lot more voters away from McAdams than she is from Miller.

So they don't trust Chuck Norris? 8)
Exactly, you can’t, or at least, the poll needs to have a 10% handicap (at least) to cover the write in. Murk is so over, and so over in the most embarrassing way a politician can be over.
“Just watch, after the cow loses, she will start screaming how she wants a recount”
Even if she’s down by 6 or 8 points...the dork...
Double Agree! Plus the late-breaking story about the TV station will help create some additional movement for Miller.
“I’ll probably get flamed for this, but psychological studies, lots of them, repeatedly demonstrate that people don’t trust a man with a beard.”
Have any of those studies been done in Alaska? LOL.
Done on my Facebook Status! Thanks for the link!
“Its disgusting.”
Indeed. Undercover socialist slime.
LOL
Ha ha. Nice one.
These studies were paid for by large corporations. They paid a lot of money for these studies in order to find how to appear professional and trustworthy to their potential clients. Sometimes you don’t get a second chance to make an impression.
This is not my opinion.
Crist isn’t garnering favorable ratings because Floridians know what he is and no longer want him in public office.
Joe Miller wants to be a Senator. He is running for a high profile political seat. He should be doing EVERYTHING he can to present himself as Senatorial.
Of course she will want a recount, and after that, another recount. She refuses to just lose and move on with her life. Her daddy taught her everything she needs to know about being an entitlement douche bag
Isn't amazing how the polls seem to be getting more accurate as we draw closer to election day?
Didn't one 'poll' have him in third place?
Easy win for Miller.
'Murk' is so desperate she is saying she will join with Democrats, hoping to get Democrat votes.
Abraham Lincoln grew the beard AFTER he became President.
A large percentage of Alaskan men (and some women ...yikes!) have beards.
It’s no big deal up here
Murkowski seems to be taking a lot more voters away from McAdams than she is from Miller.

The good news just keeps coming.
Why is Merqouiquie going to join Obama/Pelosi/Reid in the metaphorical sodomization of my children?
They all hung up on me.
I think having facial hair in Alaska would be a plus more than in any other state (perhaps Idaho excepted).
Forget polls in Ak, don't believe anything that you read, see or hear from any media sources whatsoever, just look around and you'll feel it in the country up here; no joke.
No way Miller not winning this race. People are sick of the corruption as much as they are of Obama & the Feds.
Honestly, I figure Miller will win by a few points.
The only thing that could throw it upside down is if the Indians vote in numbers like they never have before and vote for Murkowski; but I don't see that in the cards. Many of the Indians in our village are voting for Miller; I helped them fill out (witnessed) their absentee ballots.
Many of the Indians have been conditioned to expect tons of money for their villages from the govt and they get it for infrastructure (village halls, clinics, housing). The Feds never give any of the land back they stole off them as recently as the 1940's though and the Indians see Canada giving land back to villages for resource development; providing a better life for the Indians. So the Feds blow smoke up their butts and keep giving them enough small amounts of money to keep them in booze (Govt Sponsored Genocide for sure) and the Indians continue to die out as a people and the villages suffer horrible social problems. The Native Corporations told all the Indians to vote for Lisa as she has promised them unheard amounts of Fed money. It's sad to see the Indians not wanting to dictate their own futures and stay slaves to the Fed Govt as they go extinct. Doesn't have to be that way.
I can't even fathom 6 more years of waiting to throw Lisa out again, ha ha; but I don't think that will occur.
Did that already.
Is she now?
This raises the question of how she will vote in the lame duck session. And a question for GOP leadership, "Why, oh why, did you not strip Murkowski of her committee assignments when she announced an independent run?" And what will they do now...???
