A federal judge in North Carolina ruled Saturday that voters must be warned touch-screen voting machines are sensitive and poll workers will need to keep detailed records of complaints about the machines during next week's elections.
The temporary order issued by Judge Malcolm Howard stemmed from a lawsuit filed by the state Republican Party against the State Board of Elections a day earlier.

Ahhh....the researchers, they must have had a-lot of practice.....
was this a Union &/ Ivy League funded study?
Finally! The GOP should have reacted sooner.
Actually, yes.
Here is another project by J. Alex Halderman and Ariel J. Feldman, showing that Sequoia voting machines are just as secure as Diebold machines:
Running Pac-Man on the Sequoia AVC-Edge DRE voting machine.
Ladies and gentlemen, let's give a warm welcome to the next President of the United States.
I noticed during the infamous Florida re-counts of 2000, that those counties using optical scanner machines had 0 changes from the original count. We started using them a few years back and I love them. Not only are they accurate, but the ballots are preserved. I don’t trust the entire concept of computerized machines. To easy to corrupt the programming.
Might that be one of the Secretaries of State that have been “installed” through George Soros’ tactical scheme?
Please, those of you who Twitter or are on Facebook, spread this around!
Reporting Voter Fraud
The Republican Party has set up a National Hotline, which will be staffed with Attorneys to handle polling issues as well as possible voter fraud or intimidation.

Yes, that's what Dems were warning from the start.
Sad that the establishment Republicans are getting hoist by their own petard and having to reverse their position and oppose these rotten things. It would have been nice if they had been on board from the start.
Remember, it was the Republicans who were pushing for the no-paper-record electronic machines. :-(
That’s news to me.
Agreed. It's yet another case where the Establishment Republicans have sold out America by pushing these rotten things.
And they've called conservatives and liberals paranoid for wanting paper backup.
And they knew there were glitches but fought tooth and nail against putting in security measures like those in lottery systems.
Judge Howard’s a good guy. ‘Nam vet if memory serves, and he’s on the FISA Court.
We have the connect the dot and one touch screen (for the disabled —the ones least likely to know the machine messed up) This is the last election for both. New system counts on one machine....printing out a ballot that can be kept as a record and check for the the disabled so everyone will have a paper trail.
Our election board is quite excited/happy about the change. We’ll be using them the first time for city election...to get the kinks out for the presidential election. We have a great tech team. Honest and well thought of gentlemen in our community.
Harry Reid’s Son in Charge of Nevada Voting Machines Used in Fraud.
In 2008 FOX had an expert on voting machines on. He demonstrated how a vote could be for one person in the machine and print out something else.
In otherwards, with the electronic machine, your printout may not mean your vote registered to the person you voted for.
Right, so one of the only reasons to have an electronic voting machine is to print properly-formed ballots.
You can also have a pseudosecret ballot election, where each voter is given a random key, and a receipt with a list of candidates he voted for, and then the key-vote pairs are published and the voter can verify later that his vote was correctly counted.
Judge Malcolm J. Howard was appointed by President Ronald Reagan.
President Reagan is still fighting for freedom.
Uh, you know that that's illegal, right?
As usual, the GOP is a day late and a dollar short.
You know, it's about time for the GOP-bashers to shut their pieholes and start getting on board with beating the Democrats, instead of acting like termites.
Electronic voting machines should be banned. Like any other computer there will always be security issues which make them trivially easy to hack.
