No, ideology trumps everything. Looks like the British homeland security people do not trust their Prime Minister and/or Onada used a relatively routine event for some kind of political gain before the election. I watch Napolitano being intervirewd by Fox and Friends this morning. She definitely is among the dullest knoves in the drawer. But she seem to have developed a keen and mechanical sense for regurgitating talking points. Her word of the day is “immediately”. If she used that word once she used it 30 times in the approx. 2-minute segment. Immediately, as in the other demrat favorite phrase “from day one”.

WTH?!? This gets weirder by the minute. And supposedly they’re now looking for 2 DOZEN more packages aka bombs? Why isn’t the country on high alert? Why aren’t post offices, UPS and FedEx offices closed? Why do I feel as though I’m being manipulated?
WHAT?? The Jewish group was told on Thursday MORNING, and the Pres. was told Thursday NIGHT???? Something SMELLS here!!
Okay, now I’m convinced this was a ruse. I adamantly thought it was legit, but after reading this article, I have to agree this is all an unbelievable hoax.
What appears to be a spike in terrorist plots under Obama may only be a spike in rushing to the microphone (or teleprompter) to get some cred.
Very strange. Prepare for the media to drop the entire story when it becomes apparant to everyone that the timeline and story doesn’t add up. If I were a Brit, I’d be pissed off that the Obama Administration didn’t warn the leaders of my country that anything was up.
Something is not right here. No explosives found elsewhere. In the US explosives found. Just wondering did the RATS put them there themselves to make a story more plausible - RATS must win in 2010. How many Americans can the RATS say died because of Bush’s failed policies. Notice it is always Bush;s policies that failed, not Obummers or Clintons.
NOTHING passes the smell test with Obama’s Drama. I still recall seeing, earlier yesterday, an article re a ‘cartridge that had been tampered with but NO explosives detected’ in the UPS plane. Suddenly it is high alert? That doesn’t hold water, to me.
I think Obama’s making a mountain out of a molehill so he can look ‘presidential’ — or would his preference be ‘dictatorial’?? And then people will be afraid to weaken his government (coincidentally) at the election Tuesday.
That would shut down the economy. As an Ex-FedExer, I worry a lot about this kind of delivery approach. There are some very significant preventative measures in place, but nothing is perfect.

If this WAS the Dems's October surprise to make Ohaha look presidential as voters go to the polls, it backfired miserably, for the reasons SE MOM stated.
AND b/c the citizenry saw Ohaha babbling at the teleprompter, and thought: " OMG, this guy is the one protecting us? We better put the other party in charge."
Lastly, when Baghdad Bob Gibbs spoke on the topic, that ramped up the coming Repub landslide to Mach One speed.
So the real bombs were in Saudi and the rest were fake bombs?
I am so confused by all of this. If they are going to do a real bomb in Saudi..why not elsewhere?
In fact, at this point, that is what makes sense (USA mailing)....and sending packages to the Media and/or Politicians...just like the anthrax attack...

So where were the explosives (that Obama said were found) actually found? There are reports this morning that no explosives were found in the US or Britain! ???
The whole thing is ridiculous at this point. We are told there are more packages in the system, yet the threat level remains the same and the political class in DC goes right on about their business of robbing this country blind. This is starting to look like a head fake to get people looking in the wrong direction. What kind of voter fraud stories broke yesterday on the back pages?
This is turning into Obama’s “Iran Hostages”.
It appears the suspicious package was found at 3:30 am (Britian time) by local police, but they failed to find the explosives within the parcels. It wasn’t until Scotland Yard’s special terrorism task force became involved several hours later, that they discovered the explosives.
What is really odd is why Cameron wasn’t informed until 16 hours after obama was made aware of a bomb plot, and 10 hours after the package had originally been found in England.
Actually I wasn’t being completely serious about shutting down all those offices- you’re right about the economy.
I am just wondering what in the hell is REALLY going on here. IF there really ARE two dozen more bombs out there either here or on their way here for delivery, wouldn’t you expect some major security showing up at these places? Bomb sniffing dogs all over the country being put into action? Something? Anything?
All we’ve heard so far is FedEx and UPS are no longer going to ship items from Yemen.
