Spader trial: Left for dead, Jaimie crawled to....
The Union Leader ^ | 10/27/2010 | KATHRYN MARCHOCKI

The physician who supervised Jaimie Cates' care at Children's Hospital in Boston today said he had never treated anyone with so many separate and sharp wounds and said the 11-year-old girl likely would have died if she had not been able to drag herself to the telephone and call for help.

"Pretty much every part of her body had one cut on it," Dr. David Mooney told the Hillsborough County Superior Court jury on the second full day of testimony in Steven Spader's trial for first-degree murder, attempted murder and related charges.

Mooney was the first witness on the stand this morning and testified as an expert witness.

Mooney has been director of the trauma unit at Children's Hospital for 11 years and has more than 20 years of experience in the field.

Some of the wounds "cut right through the bone." They included several sharp, deep wounds that cut through Jaimie's jaw, right elbow, cracked her skull, cut off a portion of her left foot and her big left toe.

More than anything this case proves that even if you live in the country, LOCK YOUR DOORS.

I think Ms. Cates did. Evil has no bounds, unless you are a liberal who can justify a program for these scum.

And keep a gun by the bedside.

Among MANY other observations, this is an excellent example why it is not a bad idea to leave your wife with a S&W .32 snub (or substitute your preference) by her bed-stand. A good sized dog and security lighting are not bad ideas either. I know folks will quibble as to make, model and breed but you all get the point.

Here is the evil turds poem from the article:

Steven Spader’s poem
Another toe is gone
How did we go wrong
We had a perfect plan
Machetes in our hand
We went up in the house
And turned the power off
Quiet as a mouse
We went up in the house
We went up in the room
‘Mommy, is it you?’
Your mommy isn’t here
I slit her throat from ear to ear
Now we’re all in jail
Now we all have no bail
Friends turning over friends
And this is how the story ends.

How on earth do we not have a death penality? This is just past insane how these evil humans will live in a prison for the next 40+ years on our tax dollars. They have destroyed a Family and permently maimed a child. I am just floored by this.... I really am at a loss.

In the comments section on the site with the article, a reader posted his own poem. It's pretty good:

My Poem:
Another pile of trash that deserves to die
Has come before us to tell us why
We should treat him with mercy for what he's done
If I had my way I'd fill his mouth with my gun
I'd pull the trigger and watch the spray
Of his brains on the wall while I pray
That he spends eternity in the place called hell Designed for vermin that think it's fun to kill

I can put my hand on an S&W, in way less than a second, just about 24/7. I don't shower with one, but, other than that I'm covered.

Depending on government for personal protection is the ultimate form of welfare dependency.

Even when we have a death penalty, we have liberal prosecutors like those in Washington who let the Green River killer “plea bargain” by confessing to two murders in exchange for not getting the death penalty over any of the other 2 dozen rape-&-murders he committed.

What’s the point if the REALLY UNFORGIVABLY GUILTY are going to get a pass?

Try him on each murder separately until you get a death penalty conviction.

And this is how the story ends.

Not exactly you freak. It ends when you get the Dahmer Treatment in prison.

I do not know..... hey why waste a crisis. I am sure the deomcrats in this state will spin it so more tax dollars will be spent in the schools, prisons, etc....

Here in NC, there is a push to up the age of “juveniles” to 18 from 16. If this law passes and a crime like Spader’s is committed in NC, a murderer up to the age of 18 could be tried as a juvenile, detained until age 18, and released.

In this horrific crime, I can't understand why all four home invaders have not been executed. What is it going to take for citizens to stop these criminals? If this were my family, I would be tempted to spare the state the expense of a trial. I'm old now, and I understand that criminals consider me an easier target. Maybe. But I hold my family very dear, I don't have that much to lose. My eyesight's not as good as it used to be, but I'll do the best I can and my best is pretty fair. Bad folks will be on the business end of two barrels and a lot of motivation.
