Even though its been lifted, the White Houses non-scientific drilling moratorium is continuing to negatively impact its public standing. The latest manifestation of this is in the news that Louisiana Lieutenant Governor Scott Angelle is changing parties to become a Republican:
He said the scientific studies and investigations into deepwater exploration have indicated the moratorium should have been lifted weeks before it was. Instead, thousand of workers have been left jobless because of the Obama administrations actions.

But will he be a conservative Republican?
The switches begin - 6 days before the elections.
The internal data must be showing a wipeout on par to God vs. the Egyptians, playing in a parted Rea Sea.
Labor all over America needs to wise up about what WORKS for WORKERS!
The switch is on.
It’s a good thing for the Dems that they have a large number of welfare dependents in New Orleans or they wouldn’t have any winning candidates in LA this year. We have friends there and no one they know would think of voting Democrat after the way Obama has stuck it to their state during the oil spill.
I remember the days when we were just glad to have Democrats switching to the Republican Party. Many southern Republicans were once Democrats. I say welcome aboard...
YES!!!!
Amen to that!!!
DON’T FALL FOR IT!
Gov. Bobby Jindal along with Haley Barbour came to our small NM town yesterday for a campaign rally for our conservative Hispanic candidate for governor. I attended and was impressed by his off-the-cuff campaign speech about how he is making LA more attractive for non-O&G business by making ethics rules tighter for politicians and other business-friendly changes. Excellent speech; ties in with changes needed here in NM.
He will be an ultra-rino, but at least he is putting his state first.
When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic.

The moratorium has NOT been lifted. All that has happened is that the mechanism of enforcement has switched from the legal to the bureaucratic. It’s called “moratorium by stalling”.
Here’s something to ponder, if Jindal runs for another office, when he steps down, he’d be replaced by the Lt. Governor, no?
And it would be easier to run for as an incumbant Republican (or at least give the Democrats an easier run for the governor’s mansion) than to “switch” parties later.
I know Cao tried to come off as a Republican and look at what it is getting him in this election (Jefferson’s old seat), he is behind 14 to 18 points in polls. Louisiana is infested with Democrats in every corner...so weird for a deep south state to be so liberal. When is the black population going to wake up down there? Liberals do nothing for them in office...I was just there and in Arkansas and I saw some of the worst poverty I have ever seen in my life in this country.
Drilling Moratorium is an excuse. Apparently the guy can read polls.
He’s an interim Lt. Gov. to replace Mitch Landrieu, who became mayor of N.O. a few months ago. There is an election for a new full time Lt. Gov. and the Rep. candidate is expected to win.
A lot of those welfare dependents never came back after Katrina.
Two words: Urban Blacks.
