The Week ^

This satirical ad pilliories the now-infamous moment in June, 2009 when Boxer asked an Army brigadier to call her "Senator" and not "Ma'am" during a committee hearing: it concludes with her gleefully signing a $900 billion stimulus bill. [Boxer is so full of herself that she makes a self-caricature of herself for an ad ridiculing her pretensions and self-importance]

It’s bad enough if an egotist has some natural gifts, talent and ability. But Boxer is an egotist with no ability.

The best I can remember, it wasn’t a courteous sort of “asking” that Ma’am Senator did to the General. I sort of recall a snotty lacing up that she did to him. It was obvious that the man was being courteous, or trying to be courteous, to her.

Dems still never learn that they've proved you don't have to work hard to get it. Just always tell the left what they want to hear and any ahole can be Senator or President. Franken and Obama are the most recent proof. I bet they hope all of us from the respect is earned school of thinking die off soon.

Nick Searcy (”Justified”) plays the general; Ed Ames (”Daniel Boone”) is the Indian chief; Jack Scalia (”Dallas”) plays the aide to Boxer, and Clint Howard-—Ron’s brother-—is the other senator.

That’s right and “ma’am” is a traditional form of military courtesy when addressing a woman. In fact, this was a normal and accepted way of addressing the Queen of England. But Boxer was all wrapped up in herself and saw this as a slight to “exalted” position!

Liberal language control permeates American society down all the way to and through Free Republic. Until control of the language and actual free speech is regained, the war with the liberals is lost.
