The best I can remember, it wasn’t a courteous sort of “asking” that Ma’am Senator did to the General. I sort of recall a snotty lacing up that she did to him. It was obvious that the man was being courteous, or trying to be courteous, to her.

Dems still never learn that they've proved you don't have to work hard to get it. Just always tell the left what they want to hear and any ahole can be Senator or President. Franken and Obama are the most recent proof. I bet they hope all of us from the respect is earned school of thinking die off soon.

That’s right and “ma’am” is a traditional form of military courtesy when addressing a woman. In fact, this was a normal and accepted way of addressing the Queen of England. But Boxer was all wrapped up in herself and saw this as a slight to “exalted” position!
