My Quang Cao, a former officer in the army of South Vietnam and the father of U.S. Rep. Anh "Joseph" Cao, has died in New Orleans at age 78, Cao's campaign said Thursday in a news release.
The cause of Cao's death on Wednesday was not listed but the statement said he had been battling diabetes, as well as post-traumatic stress syndrome resulting from his years as a prisoner following the fall of South Vietnam to the communists in 1975...

What Cao’s father went through makes little difference to the confused state of his son... Cao Jr. is a silly RINO who goes about his way based only on his FEELINGS and makes bad decisions ... Republican or not Cao is not a reliable supporter of Conservative causes ... Unreliable Republican office holders ARE WORSE than electing Dems.

Not in this case. He replaced the convicted and sentenced to 13 years in federal prison, Dollar Bill Jefferson. The D in the race is just as corrupt as the convicted felon Jefferson.
If Cao’s constituents are needy - liberal - non tax paying entitlement mentality - welfare sucking burdens - purposefully unemployed tax payer liabilities - then NO he does not have any need nor obligation to assist them ...
If Cao’s constituents are hard working, tax paying, loyal U.S. citizens who are working at a job and/or are working hard to get a job - then yes he does...

It makes no difference - Cao is not in reality — Americans DO NOT WANT TO PAY WELFARE for people who choose not to work ... or are so incapable as not to be able to find some sort of work... Cao is a naive FOOL...
The answer is no.
LA will almost certainly lose a seat in 2012. I was thinking that if Cao could hold on that he’d be in a better position but actually his is the least likely for the R’s to win.
So it could be 6-1 R, with a Dem holding the New Orleans seat. Possibly Obama’s Justice Dept. would try to force LA to pit 2 R’s against each other and give the Dem an easy ride to reelection, but a LA seat will have to hold about 750K residents.
New Orleans is good for 354K...someone suggested this district could be stretched to Baton Rouge...it could happen but the seat could still be competitive.
It looks like Jindal can run for reelection in 2011.

This thread is about the guy’s father having just passed away, and from what is written about him, a good, good man, and all you can do is throw out vitriol against his son when his father has just died. You may call Cao a naive fool, but I’d place you a bit lower on the evolutionary scale than Cao, for your tasteless nastiness and poor timing by letting loose your own inner demons on this man while he mourns the death of his father.

Hmmm, if I were a shrink I would say this might have something do with the fact that Cao is Vietnamese and you are a Viet Nam Vet. Some residual bad feelings may be at play here towards the Vietnamese, as there is no rational reason for your unusual antagonism towards Cao. Perhaps you should dig deeper into your psyche for the true reasons as to your hostility. Just sayin.....
