With progressives worried their hold on power may be tenuous, they are honing their attack on the driving power behind the rise of the Tea Party movement: conservative women.
Former President Bill Clinton of all people was recently unleashed to pointedly criticize conservative women running for office across America. Its ironic that the man with the legacy marred by womanizing no matter how popular he may be in his retirement is the one warning that these conservative women are allegedly an affront to the political process.
And no one gets the progressives ire up these days more than Sarah Palin. The Tea Party favorite is the top target of their anger.
For example, when she was the 2008 vice presidential nominee, Tina Fey portrayed Palin as a simpleton on "Saturday Night Live shows that aired in the weeks before the election. Clips of Feys skits went viral and became fodder for the establishment medias obsession with putting Palin down.
Feys unfair portrayal of Palin became so ubiquitous that it undoubtedly defined the Republican ticket to many voters. For example, in a survey of Obama voters by pollster John Zogby conducted just after the 2008 election, 87 percent identified Palin as saying she could see Russia from her house. In reality, it was a line from Fey.
Sarah Palin, however, is not the first conservative woman to incur progressive wrath. Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, activist Phyllis Schlafly, Representative Michele Bachmann and columnist Michelle Malkin are but a few more conservative women upon whom harsh abuse is common.
Why? Conservative women dispel the myth that the only women with good ideas and the tenacity to fight for them reside on the left wing of the political spectrum...
I wonder if Clinton thinks we’ve forgotten about what he did to Juanita Broaddrick and Eileen Wellstone?
Bill Clinton is a little late to the game. We have been hunting dimoKKKRATS and RINOs for quite some time now. His targets are greatly diminished.
It this POS were a Republican he would still be in jail.
I’m starting to think that Henry Bowman needs to declare hunting season on power-hungry pols.
Strong, conservative women cause Slick Willie to pee in his pants. He gets all wee weed up.
He will have to hug the podium in an effort to hide his er...uhm...voice his objections.
It's not that most of them are darn good-looking, it's their bulldog determination to DO something to save our country. They all have smarts, guts, and endurance.
They deserve a special place in American history.
It smacks of desperation.
The Communists greatest fear is Sarah Palin.
Wet Willie always was and still is nothing but a stinking old oil slick. And here come all these savvy young ladies with their squeegies. Have at it, ladies!!!
Why is that? Isn't she just a harmless little lady from Hicksville who waves a flag and talks funny?
People on our side need to realize there's a reason that Sarah Palin is Target Number One for the left.
The left is going to pull out every imaginable stop in an attempt to stop Sarah from running for the presidency. Of all Republicans, she is the one they fear more than any other (and for good reason).
They're just jealous.
Bill Clinton is out there saying what Obama wishes he could say and that is that Americans opposed to big government are crazy.
Out of that group, Schlafly is the only woman who doesn't think Palin is ready to be president.
There can only be one queen bee.
Slick better watch his ass. He might just wake up one morning in a seedy hotel room strapped to a bed, to discover Juanita Broaddrick standing over him with a Ginsu knife.
Serve him right, by the way.
Might want to put some ice on that, Bill.
You betcha, boy howdy. (How'm I doing?)
;)
The dirty old man again THE mamma grizzly?? No match.
