The escape capsule is being transported to the escape hole by a front end scoop loader at the time of this comment.

I thought the same when I first saw it. But the miners probably have been on a reduced diet and have lost weight. Hopefully, they will have no trouble getting into the capsule.

Press conference. What are they saying??
To: Cardhu
Heh. Yah, looks like the elevator ride from hell. But... if I’d been trapped underground for two months and that was the way out... no problemo.

That’s my feeling too. Plus, if you were claustrophobic, you’d probably never have been a miner to begin with!
This is American technology, btw.

They also had to do exercises every day, partly to keep their weight down and partly to strenghthen their hearts for the change in pressure on the trip up.

They are going to do test runs first.
Actual rescue attempt won’t start for about 2 hours.

The sun has now set - it is 8:10 pm in Chile.
It is best that these miners are not brought out into direct sunlight.

You are right yorkie - after two months of almost total darknes - full sunlight would be too much for them,
