Obama is losing it
The Hill ^ | October 11, 2010 | John Feehery

If you are an American and you travel anywhere in the world in an official capacity, one of your first meetings is likely to be with the local American Chamber of Commerce.

Meeting with AmChams (as they are called) is an essential way to get a better understanding of how American businesses are doing in selling American products overseas. Members of AmChams (who are usually American) have an acute understanding of the local laws, the obstacles that foreign governments often place in the way of trade and the opportunities that exist for further investment.

AmChams are the tip of the spear when it comes to international trade. And without international trade, American business can’t grow. And if American businesses don’t grow, jobs don’t get created back here in the United States of America.

When President Obama talks about the supposed foreign influence that has infiltrated the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, he is talking about dues that are being paid by these AmChams back to the Chamber.

His argument is complete nonsense. It smacks of McCarthyism. The argument itself is delusional, and it makes me wonder if the president has taken leave of his senses.

Worse for the president, by attacking the Chamber of Commerce in such a violent way, he reveals his hatred for the private sector, which only serves to rile up his opponents even more.

The Chamber of Commerce is not an arm of the Republican Party. For example, it supported the president’s stimulus package. It supported the auto bailout. It supported the small-business loan program that the president signed last month.

The business of the Chamber is to support business, not support the Republican Party. But the Chamber finds itself supporting many more Republican candidates this election cycle because so many Democrats have taken an avowedly anti-business turn to the left, led by President Obama.

The Chamber has no choice, because the Democrats, with their agenda of higher taxes, more regulation, more litigation and more powerful labor unions, are seeking to Hugo Chavez the private sector.

The charge that comes from the president that shadowy groups may have an undue influence on this election is especially hypocritical, given that Obama won because of the influence of George Soros and his compadres.

We know that Soros and his friends in 2006 and 2008 spent hundreds of millions of dollars funding radical, left-wing groups like ThinkProgress and the Center for American Progress (ThinkProgress is the group that made the initial charges against the Chamber). These groups didn’t — and don’t — divulge their donors, but I didn’t hear Obama complain about them once during his campaign for president.

The president’s latest attack on the Chamber of Commerce shows one thing conclusively. He is losing it. And his team is going to lose the elections badly in less than four weeks.

A good argument could be made that you’re prediction is correct, but I don’t think that Obama will ever yield.

I don’t believe that filthy bug will yield to anyone. Instead, he will simply increase the misery he exacts against our country and to those that cross him.

In the end, regardless of what may happen, he gets to pull out the race card and blame racism for all things wrong.

Having said all of that, I think there might be a single event that could make him step down. IF HE IS CONVINCED IN HIS OWN MIND that he would lose the election to a white female, such as Palin or even Clinton, he would bail at the end of this term.

I do hope you’re right and that he steps down soon.

Maybe I’m just a cold-hearted hateful b!tch, but I want to see the total mental melt-down!

I realize that it could put our country in an even more precarious position for a short time, until someone steps in, but that is the LEAST he & the people who foisted him upon us deserves, in my opinion.

I agree.

That reminds me- I have found Obama's lost religion: Discordianism. Check it out on Wiki. You can't make this shiite up. Fits him to a "T".

. . and we thought that Saturday Night Live got a lot of mileage out of Gerrald Ford! They would be All Joe, All the Time because of all the material he would deliver without the chance to claime a royalty.

“Biden would be better than this evil bastard.”

I couldn’t agree with you more. But even Bugs Bunny would be fine with me.

He wants turmoil in the streets. 0bama is a real disaster and everything he touches turns bad. The imp can do absolutely nothing right or for the good. Good and decency go against his grain.

The problem is that Obama still has the power. I suspect things will only get worse, because people have been too slow to awaken. We couldn’t believe a lunatic had taken over our country...via an election.

Our military might step in. I don’t say that lightly.

Almost 50% of the electorate still approve of his job performance.

Not per any polls I've seen. Rasmussen has him consistently hovering around a 40% approval rating, and he's been trending downward since he was sworn in. As the pain of all his "Hope & Change" sets in, do you really think his approval rating will go up?

By the end of 2011, Obama is going to be universally viewed as being an embattled, impotent president, whose time has passed. Let's also not forget that he's one of the chief reasons that the center-right is so fired up. He is the very face of every destructive act against the American people in the last two years (whether he earned it or not).

As to the "super minority" comment, I'm simply predicting that the Dems will lose even more congressional seats in 2012. We're not going to win enough this time to fully take over Congress, but 2012 may be the point where we do. Again, there will have been another 24 months of agonizing pain visited upon the American people, thanks to the Democrat agenda, by that time.

"The Democrats are about to be clobbered in a landslide of historic proportions"

I believe that the term "Biblical proportions" is more appropriate.

Wholehearted agreement here! I understand Biden is a mendacious, dimwitted liar who should have been forced to pay huge sums to the surviving family of the man he defamed with his lies. But I would MUCH rather he would be in the WH than BHO. Maybe it’s because he’s (relatively) obscure, having been kept as much in the background as possible as VP, but I just don’t get the same stench of evil from him as I do BHO, Pelosi, Frank, HRC, WJC...He’s no prize at ALL, but I think he would only unintentionally destroy the USA, not purposefully. Cold comfort and same result, BUT....

I definitely agree with you that Obama is a good campaigner. He also had (still has) the MSM in his pocket, which is a good ace in the hole. However, I think that that Hillary! would triangulate better than BO.

For instance, BO has gotten what he wanted over the past couple of years, but at the cost of losing the House, possibly the Senate, and potentially the presidency in 2012. More important is the ascendacy of the Tea Party, and the involvement in politics of millions of (mostly)conservatives who wouldn't normally have paid a whole lot of attention to what was going on.

I think that Hillary! would have still arrived at the same point, but would have boiled the water a whole lot more slowly. Pelosi, BO, Reid, etc, just said damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead, and cranked the heat up to 10. With the end result being what looks like a conservative landslide next month.

Is she electable in 2012? I dunno. Depends on if she can distance herself from BO. Also depends on who the Republicans run. They do have a history of shooting themselves in the foot.

"All of these NGOs should divulge their donors. Think Progress, AmCham, and Planned Parenthood."

One huge donor to Planned Parenthood has been the US government, (taxpayer) throughout the GWB administration, and continuing.

If we get to near 50 in 2010 there’s enough seats in play for 2012 that it may happen if political conditions don’t improve for the dems

That's precisely what I'm talking about. The current tsunami of anger with the ruling class won't abate after the November elections, because the pain Americans are experiencing as a direct result of government meddling, will continue to escalate.

Also, the new class of Republicans won't be large enough to effect the people's will until there are more of them. The best we can hope for over the next two years is monkey wrenches thrown into the works.

As you said, everything's out in the open now, and those most responsible for the sorry state of the country cannot hide. The damage they've inflicted on us hasn't even fully hit home yet, so there will be an even larger increase in public anger in the near-term. By 2012, there may not be many Democrats left who can win re-election.
