If at first you don't succeed, get some friends in high places to shut your opponents up. That's the latest Washington power play, as Democrats and liberals attack the Chamber of Commerce and independent spending groups in an attempt to stop businesses from participating in politics.
Since the Supreme Court's January decision in Citizens United v. FEC, Democrats in Congress have been trying to pass legislation to repeal the First Amendment for business, though not for unions. Having failed on that score, they're now turning to legal and political threats. Funny how all of this outrage never surfaced when the likes of Peter Lewis of Progressive insurance and George Soros helped to make Democrats financially dominant in 2006 and 2008.

DemocRATS are truly the epitomy of hypocrisy.
There are only two types of DemocRATS. Those dependent on the Government for food, housing, and $, and criminals clinging to power.
Bribery is not free speech.
The former need to be “weened”,
and the latter HUNG.
Worst idea ever.
What if I don't want to 'contribute' to your stupid 'public fund'? I know, you'll send nice men with guns and badges to take it from me anyway.
When the Republicans take over in January, they need to start dragging the maggots from the IRS and DOJ up to Capitol Hill and start asking those boys some questions.
Investigations of Justice and the IRS should be among the 100’s of investigations launched by the next congress against the 0bama administration.
Remember way back when there was a Republican president and the media would not have tolerated such abuses of power? Now, it’s just another outrage the MSM will stand silently by and condone. The MSM must be universally boycotted by conservatives and Republicans until it regains at least a semblence of objectivity.
We take control of the Senate and get rid of Baucus as chairman. He is the pain in the “a” for all of us. Baucus, a 30 year hack is chairman of the Senate Finance Committee. Make him a water boy. Kick him out in 2014. by then he will be 72 with 36 years in the Senate.
John McCain, is that you?
Klinton took money from the Chicoms, it’s OK, there are many who still kiss this traitors axx,,,so lay off the chamber, OK.
I'm down to two off-air channels...PBS and NBC...and I'm thinking of starting to write NBC again. With new ownership, they may be amenable to suggestions. I may break down and get a digital converter...no gubment coupons, now, so few stock them...miss my FOX.
“I’m thinking of starting to write NBC again.”
I admire your optimism. I watch FNC, and read the WSJ and FR. I will never return to any MSM outlet. Ever.
Someone reads them. The ones I've written have been equal parts humor and invective. Probably more therapeutic for me than influential to them.
Letting the MSM know that someone is paying attention and not buying their BS is probably what we should all be doing.
Bill O’Reilly got me started on it. Call ‘em on their BS.

...and with the Financial Reform Law, the election of 2012 is going to be one giant bullyfest.
No, just someone that sees the corruption in the present system.
Ask yourself this question. You are an elected representative. While in office, somebody known to make large campaign contributions during elections has business before you that requires your vote. You know that if you vote against the person, you will not be able to count on his campaign contributions when you run for re-election. But you also know that what this person wants is bad for the people that elected you. What way would you vote?
