What it is not is the current republican party that has become almost indistinguishable from the democrat party. The movement you see and are so afraid of Joe is AMERICANS.

Thanks for noting that (”with” at end). I knew the phrase was ringing wrongly but just couldn’t put my finger on it. Even my suggested emendation would have required ‘with’, as in ‘play hob with’.
But our VP apparently didn’t get quite that far in his thought process.

The trouble is that Joe probably didn’t hit his target. What did he mean to say? Play hell? Hell to pay? Catch hell? Burn in hell? Play well? Pray well?

As many pundits and FReepers have noted, once the Republicans are back in the majority in congress, Obama and the Democrats will try to blame every rise in unemployment or other problem squarely on the Republicans because they've blocked some socialist policy Obama will swear could have 'fixed' things. This is so predictable. If John Boehner becomes Speaker of the House, which is likely, he'll have to be able to make a quick, concise and clear explanation of why the Republicans are blocking or otherwise thwarting whatever Democrat bill is in question. You know the Democrats will try to load up bills that actually help people with all sorts of leftist fantasy provisions that will cost untold amounts and do little good for anyone. When the Republicans scuttle such a bill the MSM will march in lockstep 'condemning' the Republican majority's 'intransigence', claiming that the GOP 'doesn't care about poor people/the middle class/Blacks/Latinos/you name it'. Boehner will have to counter this, quickly, or as they did with George W. Bush, the Democrats and their media water-carriers will have people actually believing that the Obama administration gives a rap about the middle class.

When is the TOTAL REPUBLICAN PARTY going to GROW POLITICAL SPINES and, always, “play hell”, if ever? The entire GOP has been too wussy for too long, and this is part of the ongoing problem!
