A 14-year-old girl in London, England, is accused of murdering a man after she found out he wouldn't be charged for an alleged sex attack on her and her older sister.
The 14-year-old defendant, her 16-year-old sister and a third woman had accused Robert Daly of sexually assaulting them, but all the charges were dropped after the 14-year-old failed to give a statement, the BBC reports.

She did what the prosecutor refused to do.
the 14-year-old failed to give a statement
Murder someone that was convicted of.....nothing.
Getting raped can mess with your mind. I’d find her guilty and sentence her to time served.
Where were the parents before this sexual abuse occured? While it continued? After it was reported?
If one of my daughters told me she had been raped and she knew who did it, there wouldn’t be any trial. The guy would commit suicide.
GOOD!!!
We don’t know that any rape happened though.
We do know there was a murder.
I absolve her of all things and expunge her record... Totally and Completely.
Not enough to really tell, here. It says that she failed to give a statement. Presumably charges were dropped because they could not proceed without such a statement.
I would be curious, however, whether she just failed to appear once, perhaps because she was caught in traffic or otherwise delayed, or whether they gave her every chance to appear and make her statement.
It seems to me that that would make a big difference.
Refused to give a statement, or was too traumatized to give a statement?
In any event she probably should be stoned to death, just to be sure...
And issue her a 00 License to Kill, I suppose..?

Did she have three male witnesses on her behalf?
It is exceptionally efficient and fair.
Agreed.
We do know there was a murder.
Actually, to be fair, we don't know that, either. She's accused, not convicted. Remember:
The girl said Daley tried to sexually assault her at his apartment, and the 15-year-old boy stabbed him to save her. She's claiming it was in defense of her, not murder.
But the prosecution alleges she did the stabbing.
In a world where women permanently scar themselves with acid, or where Tawana Brawley smears herself with excrement and pretends to have been raped, we have long, long since stopped believing what people say just because we can't imagine them to be lying.
The article may not tell the whole story, but there's nothing about this 14 year old having had a rape kit test (which would at least have shown somebody to be guilty of statutory rape).
All the article presents is accusations which were not backed up in court - and the very real death of a human being.
Self Defense is a crime in the U.K.
Yes, fair point. It’s not necessarily murder.
