House Republicans have been relatively successful this week at presenting a united front around their Pledge to America, but only through a strategic outreach campaign to lawmakers, media and outside groups, that has managed to keep deep dissatisfaction over several key issues largely under wraps.
Still, interviews with Republican aides reveal that many in the GOP caucus are unhappy that there was no earmark ban and no promise to pass a balanced budget amendment in the proposal, which was unveiled Thursday by House Minority Leader John Boehner. The inclusion of a health insurance provision considered to be mandate angered many conservative lawmakers.

I am only lurking.
That stuff about cutting back to 2008 enforced my resolved that this was nothing but a bunch of garbage/joke. Again, they think we are dumb and cant think.
I would like to see who signed off on this piece of insult to us.
Couldn't agree with you more. It amazes me to watch the "want everything now/today" crowd here, it took many years to get into this situation and it's not going to be corrected overnight. The GOP is the only option we have at this point and the Tea Party is indeed proving its influence and success.
I believe this pledge is a step in the right direction. Is it perfect? No, but it's a damn good start. It's up to us to keep the pressure on and not let them fall back into the same ol GOP ways.
Sorry, I know I'm prolly preaching to the choir.
As usual the GOPBOTS are out in force, thinking (just like in 06 and 08) that you and your RINO filled party own the conservative vote... keep on denigrating the BASE and you and your precious party will lose again! Try standing on PRINCIPLES instead on politics.
I would rather the whole house of cards collapse and do a constitutional "Restart" than keep electing POS RINOs, and dealing with their idiot kool-aid guzzling supporters... just sayin!
You are correct.
It is a bunch of garbage.
They do not intend to do what they say they are going to do.
We have seen things like this before...promises, promises, promises, and that is where it stops.
Coming on FR and belittling Conservatives will get you no where!
Got zot?
(Sic him, boys.)
21 pages. They could have done in one one page. We promise to undo everything Obama and his regime has forced upon the American people.
The rest of the page could be knock knock jokes or pictures of kittens playing with balls of yarn.
Couldn't have said it better, although I came pretty close... ;-)
Even if it isn’t feasible, even if it has no support, I want my congressman to go to Washington and put in a bill that bans abortion, and I want it to forbid judicial review.
I want him to put one in that bans homosexual marriage, and I want it to forbid judicial review.
You might say,”Not a snowball’s chance in hell of that ever passing.” I want him to do it anyway. I want to see if he’ll take a stand on the floor the way he takes them in the campaign.
Midicaid, absolutely yes, that’s welfare, paid for by you and me to mostly shiftless losers who’ve never contributed anything.”
There is a dentist’s office right next door to our Republican Headquarters. Front window advertises “Priority Care to Medicaid Recipients”. We decided to track patient activity on Friday and Saturday. There were 85 visitors to their office in just these two days. Never saw anyone with less than 4 people in any group going in - 72 were Hispanic. And this is one very small suburban area of Houston. No wonder I can’t afford to get all the dental work done that I need - I have to pay for theirs.
What’s the matter? Cat got your tongue?
Yes, I smell it too. They are very desperate.

This Republican “pledge” sucks. This is just more evidence. And all the GOP hacks that are once again overrunning FR and attacking conservatives, like they do every election cycle, won’t change that.

So, what exactly is zot-table about this post?
Yeah, it was posted by a newbie, but it looks like a straightforward truthful article to me.
Troll.
