Beginning January 1, 2013, ObamaCare imposes a 3.8% Medicare tax on unearned income, including the sale of single family homes, townhouses, co-ops, condominiums, and even rental income.
In February 2010, 5.02 million homes were sold, according to the National Association of Realtors. On any given day, the sale of a house, townhome, condominium, co-op, or income from a rental property can push middle-income families over the $250,000 threshold and slam them with a new tax they can’t afford.
This new ObamaCare tax is the first time the government will apply a 3.8 percent tax on unearned income. This new tax on home sales and unearned income and other Medicare taxes raise taxes more than $210 billion to pay for ObamaCare. The National Association of Realtors called this new Medicare tax on unearned income “destructive” and “ill-advised” and warned it would hurt job creation.

...and from reading more about this it sounds like ‘unearned income’ for those above the ‘threshold’ includes: unemployment income, social security, interest on savings, 401Ks and IRAs, child support, rental property income, stock dividends, etc., PLUS the aforementioned sale of a house.
I don’t want anyone, no matter how high their income level, to pay this outrageous tax! Those in danger of being taxed this way should not be punished for their success!!!!

What’s interesting is a doctor told me yesterday that he had just heard about this. That tells me most people have never heard it. I heard about it long ago. Guess most people are listening.
The whole plan is government run healthcare. Everytime a doctor calls it quits obama and his bunch of socialists high five each other.
As my cardiologist told me “Get used to a lot of Cuban doctors.”
Daughter is a nurse and married to a nurse who moved here from England. About 7 years ago he told me he moved here because nurses were on the scale of janitors in England. In other words, not very highly thought of. Plus he said you had to wait forever. He even said “If you’re an American and you need to go to the emergency room in England you go to the front of the line because they know you have insurance.” Well, my daughter and he both support obamacare. Either that or he’s so damned weak and p.w.’d that he’s afraid to disagree with her.

I tell my wife that (she's a nurse) and she says, "They would never do that". She doesn't support Obama but she also doesn't believe they would do the things they've already done.
I have young relatives who voted for nobama. When they are now confronted with the DAILY idiocy from these marxists they say “I don’t like politics...I don’t want to talk politics”. Several have stopped communicating on any level with those of us in the family who are sane and conservative. I liken it to the 1800’s and Civil War times when families split. It is very sad. nobama care is “stay healthy or die”. Good luck everyone. nobama and his minions hate America. They are purposefully making America mediocre and worse. Vote the bastards out!
I know of two gentlemen who VERY RECENTLY received letters from their physician informing them that he could no longer serve them. The letter said he would provide them with emergency care for 30 days after the receipt of the letter and then no more. They were both told they would have to find another doctor. Both are patients who have had serious problems resulting from accidents and live with chronic pain. Medicare makes up a good portion of their insurance.
With the large number of homes that will be Under Water and foreclosed by then, will the mortgage holder be forced to pay this tax?
I hate the expression “unearned income,” which has always been a psychological conditioning expression to tell us that making a profit on a sale is somehow unethical, low, and mean.
