Approximately 10 minutes into the speech the moderator informs the public not to film. The citizen continues to film, stating it is his First Amendment Right. The camera is smashed into his face. This is clearly seen on the video.
“But what is most troubling - what was being hidden?”
Probably trying to protect their tax exempt status. It was taking place at a church. ???
Just like mooslime animals, liberals always resort to violence when they don’t get what they want.
The First Amendment:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

So is the guy pressing charges? I sure would.
I hope the fellow with the camera reads your comment. He seems to need a refresher.
2010 Oregon gubernatorial race Main article: Oregon gubernatorial election, 2010 In September 2009, Kitzhaber announced that he would run for a third term as governor,[17] and in May 2010, won the Democratic Primary, defeating Roger Obrist and former Secretary of State of Oregon, Bill Bradbury.[18] He is currently running against Republican Chris Dudley and several minor-party candidates.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Kitzhaber
I hope the camera guy puts all those thugs in jail for assault and sues the church for failing to control it (Hey, I thought it was the democrats who wanted churches to lose their non-profit status for mouthing political opinions??).
I hope they do what this lawyer is advising. This is exactly the kind of stuff that Obama and Holder signaled that they would tolerate when they dropped the NBP case and when Obama asked his supporters to ‘get in their faces’.
It was on private property. I guess we've lost the right to decide what we allow on our own property?
bump
Wonder if Sen. George Allen had just had that guy filming him beaten up, instead of calling him “Macaca”, would not have been such a problem?
Not at a political event, but a sale. I was taking some pictures and was told I couldn’t. I said, “why not”. I was told it wasn’t allowed. A supervisor became upset and told me again I couldn’t take pictures. I took her picture. There was a LEO present for crowd control and they asked her to ask me to stop taking pictures and why don’t I leave. I asked her what law was I breaking? She had no answer. She asked me why don’t I leave anyway. I asked on what authority did I have to leave. I explained my reasons for being there and why I was taking pictures and that I was standing up for my constitutional rights and I would leave when it was clear it was my decision to leave not theirs.
My son thought I was going to jail. I said I did nothing wrong and was not going to give in to their Gestapo tactics and relinquish my rights. It’s important.
I applaud this guy and people who video police doing their duty. And not to forget those protesting at abortion clinics. Obey the law when it is just, challenge it when it’s not. Always stand up for your rights.
THIS one had this as an open meeting to the public....
Okay, what, in your obtuse way, did you mean by: “
Uh...The freedom to assemble doesn’t mean “freedom to assemble film footage.”
Filming a Democrat at Church is NOT allowed!
