Top Bush Aide Denounces Mark Levin, Malkin, Others as 'Unhinged...Bolshevik' Enforcers
Newsbusters ^ | 9/19/10 | Tim Graham

Former top Bush speechwriter Michael Gerson is a Washington Post columnist, and there is never a better time for right-leaning columnists to lean left than in the last weeks of an election season. (See George Will trashing Sen. George Allen in the last weeks of 2006.) His rant also may have granted Gerson a seat on CBS's Face the Nation on Sunday.

Gerson not only denounced Christine O'Donnell as a wacky candidate like Alan Keyes, he denounced "the childish political thought of the Tea Party." He insisted conservatives were like Bolsheviks. Bloggers like Michelle Malkin and talk show hosts like Mark Levin were "unhinged" against Karl Rove.

Gerson wants to suggest that the Tea Party people are unhinged in their rhetoric, and then he compares them to murderous Russian communists. Remember this the next time Gerson agrees with a liberal that Obama shouldn't be smeared with foreign associations.

Rush came right up to the line, but did not cross the line, of explicitly endorsing Fred Thompson and then Sarah Palin.

He's still good as far as that goes, in my book.

He's still too much of a Randian, but I think his latest wife is (rare for an old rich Republican) swinging him toward Christianity.

Cheers!

These well-armed oligarchs are not going to go quietly in the face of torches and pitchforks.

The oligarchs might be well-armed with money, but the people have all the guns. There are 90 million of us, and counting...

Well, ok, but not as much. They aren’t in control necessarily of the votes of every single politician in the house.

If, for some reason, every house member wanted to vote for Ron Paul as Speaker of the House, it would just happen.

They don’t hand pick candidates for every single office. They do try to stop the ones that present a danger to their agenda.

It’s about the Tea Party movement, which is a snowball that keeps rolling and taking out one incumbent after another. The establishment is afraid that it’s going to get out of control and are doing anything they can to stop the momentum.

This is a proxy war, Christine O’Donnell and Delaware just happens to the be field of battle that was picked.

I don’t believe it! Are we seeing the Marxist moles like Michael Gerson coming out of their holes? No wonder GW was paralyzed in office, unable to take the Reagan torch and keep it alive.

The reason, in my opinion, that the Democrats are so worked up about the Tea Party and the conservative winners, is that this is the first time in the history of this country that we can hear the other side of everything that the Democrats say, thanks to talk radio, Glenn Beck and the internet. They can’t get away with their lies anymore. I’m waiting for them to try to shut us up, but I don’t think they will be able to. It’s too late and they know it.

...this feels like the return of Reaganism.

I'd say it's closer to the return of Jeffersonianism.

More indication you can’t trust the overall intent of the RINO GOP. It’s all about them, not us.

You don’t think the older established members don’t give out the committee appointments, offices etc....You’re be naive.

There are those who control and those who follow or else. Look what happened to Newt’s class....Intimidated until they fell in place.

Michelle did the right thing by establishing the Teaparty Caucus....But are they giving her any help in being re elected even though they know the Rats are targeting her....

My view is that this has the hallmarks of an event that WASN’T supposed to happen. Not here. Not now.

Christine was relegated to fringe status early on by the powers that be.

When she actually won,it ignited a political upheaval here.

They have taken away our healthcare—it is now doomed without repeal.

They wanted to take away our energy with cap and trade, and to control us.

They succeeded in tanking the economy and rushing to bogus bailouts and stimulus to bankrupt the government and us.

The stock market crash wiped out trillions, as did the trashing of the real estate market, wiping out even more trillions—of any value held by the common citizen.

They are discussing taking away our IRAs and 401ks.

That would complete the looting of America.

Now they are suing individual states, refusing to protect our borders from invasion, passing bills that contain incomplete provisions which will be completed by unelected bureaucrats.

I don’t think this is their high water mark.

Not just yet.

Tokyo Rove and others have complained that Castle was to be a shoo-in. This he has stated, not as a possibility, but as a fact.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Agreed. Technology is liberating the culture even more than the printing press did in the 16th century.

Intellectually and ethically, you are correct. Emotionally, in my bones, I have not had such optimism and resolve since the beginning to the Reagan era.

Cheers.

Well, Rove and others like Krauthammer are doing ther best to destroy O’Donnell’s campaign. That may be a neocon minority position, but the MSM leftist supporting networks
are playing them up to the point that it will influence the election.

IMHO , all of these neocons shoud be ashamed of themselves. When will they put the nation first? They seem to be divorced from reality.
