SALT LAKE CITY -- A new painting of President Barack Obama by a Utah artist is stirring things up politically.
The piece, which includes every U.S. president, is titled "The Forgotten Man" and shows Obama stepping on the U.S. Constitution.
"I feel like our presidents have really forgotten who put them there," artist Jon McNaughton said.
The painting shows conservative presidents on one side and liberals on the other. It also features dollar bills blowing around and depicts the American flag at half-mast.
"The flag being at half-mast usually happens when there is a tragedy in the country," McNaughton said. "I have painted the flag at half-mast because I feel that right now our country is experiencing a tragedy at monumental proportions."

...or else George Bush made him paint it.
Well, that exhausts the supply of Leftist arguments.
Then next thing that they are likely to say is “Poopypants, poopypants...Conservatives are dumbheads!!!!”
or the equivalent, but with $7.95 college words.
Every picture tells a story.
This painting narrates our times.
BTTT
perfectly captured obama’s arrogance. and smugness. can’t say I have ever seen him cross his arms like in the picture. but, I avoid watching him.
yeah, Lincoln’s face is my favorite part of the painting.
All the American Presidents and one kenyan usurper.
*How long until WH makes comment on this..4....3..2..?*
I’m waiting for Breyer to suggest an amendment to burn any and all such paintings.
Dove tials very well with bill ayers standing on the American flag.
Birds of a feather.

thanks so much for the link.
Beautiful art. All great art is political!
Though I have some serious reservations about some of the Presidential blurbs on the website animated version of the work. Cleveland is misrepresented. Also where is Cool Cal?
Carter should be front and center clapping, fwtw!
so would I
I really like the painting, but he’s somewhat inconsistent on his stated positioning of conservative presidents on the right (viewer’s left) side of the ‘Forgotten Man’ and liberals on his left side. For example, why is William McKinley at the far extreme left of the man, on the same side as Clinton and FDR? McNaughton’s comment on McKinley was even positive, on how he presided over a period of prosperity and made gold the base of the currency.
Correction, McNaughton himself didn’t say there were conservative presidents on one side and liberal presidents on the other, the commentator said this. Still, McKinley doesn’t seem to belong where he is placed in the painting.
Coolidge is to the left (as you’re looking at the painting) of Kennedy ...
...or else George Bush made him paint it.
If you go to the site and read the artist's commentary, he is not exactly complementary of W.
