If you are the sitting Democrat President, and you have to travel to CT to campaign for the long-time Democrat politician who is running to fill a seat being vacated by a 5-term Democrat GIANT, then you are in a world of hurt.

Blumenthal said in a statement, "His visit will make a difference for us, energizing our supporters and helping us raise the resources we need against my opponent who is spending an unprecedented $50 million on her campaign.”I can't imagine how Obama can help Blumenthal in CT. He's just advertising that McMahon is a serious candidate, to be reckoned with. Am I missing something here?

Last time Obama did a fundraiser in CT, it was for Chris Dodd’s reelection campaign in the early Spring. How did that work out? Let keep Obama’s record perfect; every candidate he supports, loses.
