Sarah Palins candidate in the Republican primary on Staten Island, Michael Grimm, beat his challenger, Michael Allegretti, according to New York 1 News and the Daily News.
Grimm, who was also backed by Rudy Giuliani, was a former FBI agent and Marine veteran. He was criticized for raising a lot of money outside the district, and not having lived there as long as Allegretti, whose family ran a local business on the Brooklyn side of the district.

Grimm will take on freshman Rep. Michael McMahon, a moderate Democrat who has the backing of the Conservative Party and who voted against Obamas health care policy.
McMahon came under criticism earlier when a campaign aide distributed to a reporter documents that described how much money Grimm raised outside the district, labeling one category as Jewish money. The campaign aide was fired and McMahon apologized.

There is no doubt that some of these candidates are rookies and will be facing democratic veterans in the general election. They could definitely use the support of mainline GOP.
Good observation. RNC could recover some good will from me and others who have been Republicans throughout IF they go all out to support these conservative “tea party” candidates with their time, boots on the ground and money. I don’t think these new candidates really need their political ‘advice.’

Wow. The Democrats hate the Jews more and more every year. It’s frightening.
Isn’t the Right to Life Party still on the ballot?
Now he just needs Vinny from Jersey Shore and he should have it locked up.
he should use Don’t Fear the Reaper as his theme song

Just don't forget the cowbell
If they are, I’m not aware of it. They certainly aren’t a force if they are.
Washington has a way of corrupting bright eyed idealists. The turnip truck drops them off every two years and somehow everything still rolls along just like before.
It's going to take a sustained effort of many elections before things start to turn around.
It is close, but it looks like a win for Sarah’s candidate:
Kelly Ayotte ...........42,483....38%
Ovide Lamontagne .41,270....37%
Bill Binnie ..............15,469....14%
Jim Bender ...............9,505......9%
Dennis Lamare .........1,085......1%
Tom Alciere ................411.......0
Gerard Beloin .............303.......0

That’s the problem. Recently there have been too few new
Representatives brought in by turnip trucks. Most have come in limos or private jets, regardless of party.

Thanks for the ping VR.

It is crap like this that reminds those of us on Staten island why we hate the media.
Our accidental congressman Mike McMahon ( the GOPer came down with a case of zipper disease) is NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
backed by THE Conservative Party. Michael GRIMM IS the REAL Conservative Party candidate. The ash holes in the media wrote this because the scumbag we have as Boro president is a life long Conservative and has already sold his PERSONAL support to McMahon for McMahon's support for his (scumbag’s) re election last year. Scumbag TRIED to get the State Conservative party to endorse his douche bag Democrat buddy but they said NO!
Michael Grimm will roll over McMahon in November after beating the jerks in the Richmond County Republican Party's butt boy candidate (they REFUSED to even allow Grimm's name to be put in nomination after they had to back out of nominating ZIPPER trouble without a word of discussion.
Grimm won last night 73/27. On to Washington on November 2!
