Driving in Reverse (Obama insiders want "true believer" as chief of staff)
American Spectator ^ | September 13, 2010 | The Prowler

Posted on 09/13/2010 6:16:59 AM PDT by reaganaut1

White House insiders say that the "vibe" inside the Obama Administration is that "Rahm is running" for mayor of Chicago, but that it is perhaps the least surprising turn of events in what is expected to be "a house cleaning" after the midterm elections."Maybe it's just me," says a longtime Obama aide, "but I think a lot of us feel that the President was ill-served by White House staff that did not have the pre-existing relationship or ties to him, and the result is the mess we're in right now. The President needs more of what I'd call the 'true believers' close to him and a lot of us think that is what is going to happen after November."

White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel has not announced whether he will in fact run for mayor of Chicago, though it appears he is undertaking the kind of pre-campaign research and preparation to do just that. President Obama has already endorsed such a run.

Emanuel has been the No. 1 example of a "non-Obama insider" for many Democrats who have complained about the mounting failures of the Administration.

...

What some Obama White House aides hope happens is that Obama reaches down to some of his longer-standing political acquaintances and draws them back into the "inner circle." "If we only have two years left, we need true believers who are going to work hard to put the country on the path that we want the country to be on, and do it in a way that make it very difficult for the next administration to roll back. That is the political calculation we want to see in the President."

Obama is an "idiot" the way Lenin was an idiot. He knows what he stands for -- the remaking of America as a socialist country -- and works relentlessly towards his goal. Do Boehner and other Republican leaders know what they are up against?

make it very difficult for the next administration to roll back

People who believe in the value of an honest political process don't think like this -- but ideologues do.

No - they don't. The Pub leadership will never play hardball as hard as it needs to be played.

Who would these people be? More radicals like Bill Ayers? He hasn’t been in politics long enough to have “longer-standing political acquaintances”.

Obama and company are wolves in sheep clothing. Now it is time to show the wolves are in control. Obama and company mean to enslave America. We are in tribulation.

Sure, why not.
Christine Whitman thinks he is “such a wonderful man”.

As long as the USA has RINOS, the Marxist can have an easy path.

If Valerie Jarrett, Axelrod and Emmanuel were not “inner circle” to the reclusive obama- then who is?

Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, and Reggie?

No.
Boehner symbolizes the old go-along-to-get-along Washington crowd.
I’m hoping for Boner and Can’tor to be replaced by Mike Pence and Thaddeus McCotter.

What will be interesting it that new Cabinet positions (and CZARS old and new) will be reviewable by Congress. Fun times for all. I really don’t think Mr. Sparky should load up with the wiz kids from the Ivies, he may want to find a few “normal” people to deal with a Republican Congress. Dems seem to think they can run hard left with an opposition holding Congress. Hope they do it.

Let’s cross our fingers that the WH follows this advice. Rahm actually was a voice of reason within this leftist cabal. Had his advice been followed, the administration would have put forward a bi-partisan health reform plan. With “true believers” in charge, the administration will keep making self-destructive efforts to keep moving left of American public opinion. The result could well be an electoral blow-out in 2012 of 1964 or 1972 proportions.

Obama is a failure. He has failed at everything he’s touched. He would have been a failure regardless of who he had picked for his staff.

Replacing his staff will not change much, as he would still be the failure he has made himself..... all by his own hand, and by his own incompetence and hate for America.
