The small Florida church that has sparked global outrage with its plan to hold a Koran-burning event had its website pulled from the Internet on Thursday by its host.
Dan Goodgame, a spokesman for the San Antonio, Texas-based web hosting firm Rackspace, told AFP the evangelical Dove World Outreach Center church had, "violated the Offensive Content section of its Acceptable Use policy."
SNIP
Goodgame said officials from the web hosting firm had spoken with Jones on Wednesday afternoon and informed him that he had until midnight to migrate to another site after complaints about "hate speech."
"It was a fairly short conversation in which we reminded him of the accepted use policy," Goodgame said. "He (Jones) said he intended to still post his anti-Islamic messages."

O and 6 on this one
True nothing on you-tube yet????.

You got that right.
I’m sure Rackspace has twisted its user agreement to ban what the Dove church is doing.
Does anyone have any examples of what “hate speech” Rackspace it accusing them of using, or are they simply referring to the book burning itself?
Nice one. You’re right on target there.
The guy may have gone over the line. If he was supporting violence against Islamic adherents I can see some validity to this. He does sound somewhat suspect. That being said, if he wasn’t doing something inciteful, his views should have been protected.
Huh?? Very simple. Did the pastor or ISP violate their terms of service. Simple contract. No issue of free speech.

Faxes are harder to ignore than emails. Just sayin’...
Terry Jones’ book, “Islam is of the Devil” is out of stock on Amazon. Either that or Amazon was ordered not to sell it by King 0bozo.
Well in Arabic, courage = ‘hamas.’ Today, hacking off communications. Tomorrow, heads. Especially if you can persecute your opposition with impunity.
Freedom of speech?.....BBBBBWWWWHHHHAAAAHHHHAAAA!....freedom for some, not so much for others.
Rackspace hosts a bunch of islamist and leftist sites. No problem with hate speech there.
This entity should be taken down.
Christians teach 'hate the sin' _precisely because_ we 'love the sinner.' Sin hurts sinners. Not fighting against false _ideas and teachings_ that lead others to Hell is, functionally, hating sinners. That doesn't necessarily mean stunts like burning a Koran that you own yourself are a good idea (ie., this is not a persuasive tool), but it pales in comparison to those who do far worse in their name of their own religion or ideology.

Customer: Why did your company pull the Dove Fellowship site?
Customer: Hello?
Matt W: Yesterday, Rackspace terminated service to a customer who was in violation of the Rackspace Accepted Use Policy (AUP) with which all Rackspace customers are required to comply.
Customer: Was it for anti-Islamic speech?
Matt W: Unfortunately I can
Matt W: Can’t give you the details
Matt W: For media inquiries, please contact media@rackspace.com
Customer: I’m not with the media
Matt W: I know and I understand that
Matt W: This is the email address that will be able to accept replies to :)
Customer: But I need to know if I get an account with you and post opinions that you don’t happen to agree with - are you going to pull my site?
Matt W: I am sorry you will need to email anything you are needing to the address above and they will respond back
Matt W: Sorry :)
Customer: So you can’t advise me about what I can or can’t post to your servers?
Matt W: Like I said...I can’t give you any details....here is our AUP, if that helps
The agent is sending you to http://www.rackspace.com/information/legal/aup.php.

Matt W: I will do
Customer: Have a nice day
liberals love censorship almost as much as they love muslims
Seems to me that Rackspace as a private company can do whatever they want. Only the government can censor.
Now perhaps the government pressured Rackspace, then that could be an entirely different matter.
And you can bet the IRS is going over all of their prior tax forms with a fine-tooth comb.
Nope. It’s the USSA.
Actually I think one can host what one wants. So they just need to move to a different host.
