TSG: "KORAN BURNER: CREEPIER THAN YOU THINK
The Smoking Gun ^ | 9/8/10 | LiveFreePordie

SEPTEMBER 8--The Florida pastor who is planning to burn a pile of Korans this weekend runs a church that has established a variety of cult-like rules for individuals studying to become ministers, according to the group’s “rulebook.”

The Dove World Outreach Center (DWOC), headed by Islam-hating Rev. Terry Jones, has been widely denounced for its September 11 bonfire plans. The tiny Gainesville church is headed by Jones and his wife Sylvia, a co-pastor.

The DWOC’s “Academy Rulebook,” a copy of which you’ll find here, was created in November 2007 by Sylvia Jones. The document, which details the standards to which a prospective DWOC minister must adhere, addresses topics such as behavior, study, and communication. It is also filled with the kind of creepy directions that are often associated with cults.

For instance, students are directed to cut off most contact with family members. “Family occasions like wedding, funerals or Birthdays are no exception to this rule,” the rulebook notes. “No phone calls. Exceptions can be made under certain circumstances but only after receiving permission.”

The Joneses also barred “Singles” from having “romantic relationships to the opposite sex…

It sounds like the only ones responsible for any violence are those in the media who chose to report it.

Again, this would hold true for whatever these people did by burning Korans.

It was the messenger who paid to broadcast it to the world, such that offended people would know about it.

As for those burning the Koran, I say let them do so. In the US, that is one of our basic rights, as we already know that in their countries that burning the American flag and Holy Bibles is okay.

Burn away guys!

FOX NEWS, May 17, 2005:

. . .”We (NEWSWEEK) believed our story was newsworthy because a U.S. official said government investigators turned up this evidence,” Whitaker wrote. “But we regret that we got any part of our story wrong, and extend our sympathies to victims of the violence and to the U.S. soldiers caught in its midst. . .”

If Preacher Jones burned the Koran in some place like Saudi Arabia or Afghanistan I might believe he is something other than a pathetic, reckless publicity hound.

Luke 6:22 Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.

What your passage has to do with the price of tea in China, I don't know. Of course you will be hated if you adhere to Christ and do not practice the dog eat dog negative ways of the world. The world does not love what it does not understand. The nicer you are and the more you love your enemies the more coals you heap upon his proud head.

That said, a person can be hated and still not be of Christ. And being criticized is not equivalent to being hated or persecuted.

The preacher isn't being criticized because people think he's doing something for Christ. He's getting criticized because he's an idiot for methodology. Planning to make a big show of an activity for which nazis are famed is not how you go about doing something "for Christ's sake." It is how you go about making a bad name for one's self and any who are associated with you, namely other Christians. Marching hand in hand with the people who live to provoke mourners at funerals into giving them pretext for a lawsuit is not done for "Christ's sake," either. Nor is such strutting and preening done for the sake of the 1st amendment, as neither of the groups has been in danger of losing the liberties they abuse. If anything both groups have been heard far more than they deserve.

He is a nutjob, yes...

An agent provocateur working for the other side?

Probably...

Myself, I am more concerned about the nutjob in Iran getting a nuclear weapon and the terrorist imam wanting to build that mosque at Ground Zero.

“How will burning the Koran cause ANYONE to convert to Christianity?”

Not one.

“Sure he will attract a few nutjobs to his church, but innocent Christians in turd world countries may die for this stupid and selfish stunt.”

Yep.

But here’s the reason for his support — Obama, the Old Media, and Bloomberg. They pushed America too far with this perpectual suck-up-to-muslims-fest. This is called a backlash.

I wish we had a more well-planned backlash, but that’s not the point. Obama is supposed to lead us. This is fruit born from Obama’s leadership.

So what?

Christians SHOULD know that they can die for their faith as J.Christ !
It’s up to the muSSlims if they like to kill people from other religions!

My advice for christians living in muslim cuntries is to hold their guns or to leave and go in civilized countries

So, how much MORE pissed can it possibly make the Muslims??

What more could they possibly do in the way of retaliation?

This battle between Christianity vs Islam is 1000 or more years old. There will be a final battle and all the PC/ass kissing in the world won’t stop it.

All right then surrender dhimmy !

Does J.Christ sound familiar to you?
I think that many fake christians are surrendering and are watching silently the islamisation going on in Europe and beginning in USA with barrack oummabama’s blessing....

St Peter denied to know Jesus when he was arrested before his Passion....It’s an old story

Christians are already being slaughtered in “turd world” countries. Many are leaving before the Islamists get a chance to slaughter them. Uh. this is before this church burns a few Korans.

Very few Muslins leave the faith out of fear.

There are plenty of copies of the Koran out there.

So some whackjob exercises his free speech by getting rid of a few.

Walid makes a point of specifically spelling his name (for his website) as “S H O E, like the shoe you put on your foot every morning, then bat, B A T”.

Beeing christians don’t force people to be idiots.
Islam has always been a religion of war and violence since its very beginning! LEARN A LITTLE BIT OF HISTORY or shut up !
As an individual, like st François from Assise , you can talk muslim people personnaly and you can go as a preacher in TURKEY , IRAN....you will not last long !

As a society,a country, a people we can’t tolerate and accept the islamic expansion/conquest !

I,and many, simply don’t want it !

You can go and live if you like in muslim countries! Bu-bye and good luck !

Christians are already dying in third-world countries at the hands of muslims. Our troops are being killed by muslims in Afghanistan. Muslims kill people over cartoons and books. I have no respect for islam or the koran. Our troops were ordered to burn Bibles. I don’t remember any outrage over that.

“Sophomoric.”

Because Jones supports the Westboro “cheer the death of American soldiers” scumbags, it makes him a certifiable nut. I was comparing him to another certifiable nut, Marshal Applewhite. And because you slammed me for it, that makes YOU a certifiable nut..... Or just a fool....Which is it?

I know you aren’t going to do it to placate Muslims. You aren’t going to do it because you love your family and fear for their safety, just as a responsible dad and father should act.

But a pastor should not do it if for no other reason than to keep the Christians in Muslim countries safe.

It really disgusts me that so many of you are willing to allow innocent people to die in order to support a nutjob in Florida. Hell, EVERYONE knows what Muslims do at the slightest provocation so he isn’t proving anything that hasn’t been known for over 30 years.

What if it was YOUR family that would die? Would you be so supportive then?
