The news keeps getting better in Delaware’s Senate race, friends!

As National Journal’s Hotline reports today, the most recent results from a NSON Opinion Research poll of likely voters in the Senate race shows Christine O’Donnell is now just 2% back from liberal RINO Mike Castle.

The race currently stands as follows:

MIKE CASTLE: 43%

CHRISTINE O’DONNELL: 41%

Friends, with your help, Christine O’Donnell will win this campaign! We are in the middle of our $200,000 MoneyBomb to counter the $200,000 TV and radio ad blitz that liberal Mike Castle just launched. We urgently need your help so we can reach our goal of $200,000.

You can support the MoneyBomb by making a contribution – HERE.

...O'Donnell...sounds like a grifter...

You must have a higher opinion of politicians than I do. In my opinion, her being a grifter doesn't disqualify her for the Senate. Maybe that would help her become an honorary member of the Congressional Black Caucus. Staff will help her cast the right vote. Biden did it...how hard can it be?

Besides...The Senate has already set the bar unimaginably low....

Yes, in this case I would rather have a Democrat, at least we know where we stand with him.

Castle will give the Democrats a cover of 'bipartisanship'

You can add Cap and Tax to that list (as early as the lame-duck session possibly). And he has said he won’t vote in favor of repealing Obamacare.

Not in the case of Castle, who IS a RAT with an ‘R’ next to his name.

Castle has been a career politician...I’ll take the lady with “no real job” over him anyday.

I'll take a person from Delaware selected at random over Castle.

She struggled to pay off her college loans

I count that in her favor.

I don't gave a damn about the smear campaign attempts against Christine O'Donnell....and light-weight attempts at that.

I only care about how she votes, and as a Reagan conservative, I know which way she WILL vote. THAT IS IMPORTANT TO MY LIFE AND MY LIBERTY, MY FREEDOM AND THE FUTURE OF ME AND MY FAMILY.

Castle is a RINO. Vote for Christine O'Donnell who WILL UPHOLD THE CONSTITUTION. Let's get our priorities in order.
And send Christine O'Donnell a few bucks while we're at it.

Sorry, but the most recent polls show O'Donnell losing to the Dem by double digits. You can decide it is better to lose with a conservative than win with a RINO, and that is a defensible opinion, but don't stick your head in the sand and pretend the truth is not what it is.

The Ostrich Brigade is out in full force, I note.

The more that comes out about Miss O'Donnell, the further she falls, and we haven't even gotten to the general election fight!

And I'm a bit old fashioned...I still believe conservatives shouldn't be liars or grifters.

Here's an interview with her from a few days ago: http://www.wgmd.com/?p=9496

Some good points: Stay Classy, Christine O'Donnell

She's "right" on all the issues and yet, she has a lot of significant personal issues that cannot be explained away as unfair attacks by Castle and the RNC. I'm generally included to support someone like O'Donnell but she sounds like a grifter—no real job, no income, using campaign cash to pay her rent. She says the right things but has accomplished nothing. Conservatism has its share of lightweight losers and O'Donnell is one. She has to explain those personal issues in a credible way. Otherwise, if I were in Delaware I'd vote Castle even though I think he's way to squishy on a number of important issues.

I agree with you. Recently, I heard her deny that she has IRS problems or that a lien existed, but the lien against her is online. Also, she described her degree problem as due solely to financial difficulties, but when she finally earned her degree the other day, her campaign indicated that she had finished her coursework this summer--not years ago as she has claimed.

This kind of thing may not bother Mark Levin and her supporters here as much as Castle's record does, but I suspect it will not sit well with a lot of voters.

No doubt (just look @ his history) that Castle is a RINO, and fingers crossed that Ms. O'Donnell wins, but is there proof that Castle would switch parties?

No. It's just another accusation thrown out there in desperation, making Miss O'Donnell look more like a nutcase.

Tolerating RINOs in the Republican Party does nothing but confuse the electorate. Even if Christine is a screw-up in Congress, the known RINO goes down. If she becomes a RINO, then she can still be defeated in the next primary. I don’t think the Tea Party movement is going to stall before then. There will be another candidate to choose.

>>>And I’m a bit old fashioned...I still believe conservatives shouldn’t be liars<<<

I know, but when you answer the same questions and make similar speeches over and over, that can happen - I used to do training on Computer Networks over a 6 state area and you don’t always get it out right.

I had heard that interview, and listen to Gaffney and crew reglularly - Gaffney had his gotcha topic primed and ready and could hardly get out hello before he clobbered her with it. She was expecting a bit different approach from Dan as he had been a strong supporter of her in 2008 - she was flabbergasted and couldn’t believe he was acting that way - which I could understand, but she definitely got flustered.

I think Gaffney acted that way since the Friday before he was doing a remote with an interview of Rollins - he was upstaged by a 7 year old girl who nailed her by asking her if she knew what the rights were in the first Amendment. (Rollins mumbled and then said there were other more important things to work on) Maybe he was trying to tighten up his act... He did say he really didn’t expect it to go viral... sounded embarrassed a bit over it.

Unless we succeed in de-programming the country from the cult of liberalism and drag along Delaware, Sen. Christine, if elected, will likely be a 1 term senator. Whether or not she's a flake. She is too far to the right of the mean to get re-elected with the state's current mind set. Only the crisis that's Obama gives her a chance now. Yet Castle would be 80 when up for re-election and thus far from a lock for re-election. Castle isn't flaky but will often vote like Franken. So what's the downside of electing Christine, even if she is a flake (which isn't certain), so long as she votes like OUR flake. As THEY say, never let a good crisis go to waste!

This election isn't really about defeating Obama; it is about BLOCKING Obama and defeating RHINO control of the GOP. We mathematically can't reach 2/3 of the Senate and I seriously doubt we'll reach of the House. We can't override vetoes nor impeach Obama and Biden, so we can't defeat him this year. Blocking him from doing further harm and fixing the damaged GOP brand in preparation for the real battle of 2012 must be today's goal.

On the off chance that you might actually be willing to consider her side of the story - here is what she says about the lien:

During my previous campaign against then Sen. Joe Biden, I was audited by the IRS – so were some of my family members and a campaign worker. (Let’s chalk that up to a coincidence.) After a long appeals process, this was supposed to have been wrapped up this past spring.

Yet, in March, rather than a letter finalizing the appeals process, I received an erroneous tax lien claiming I had not responded to their previous correspondence. The IRS admitted the letter was a mistake, issued a Certificate of Release of Federal Tax Lien on May 19, 2010 and chalked it up to a “computer error.” The remaining balance was paid in full on May 16, 2010, clearly proving yet again that my political opponent is desperate and because of which he is ignoring the facts and circulating copies of the erroneous lien to reporters and bloggers.

Please find below, a copy of the letter from the appeals officer assigned to my case. You will notice that it is dated just weeks before the erroneous lien and clearly demonstrates I had been cooperating with the IRS and heading towards resolution.
