The news keeps getting better in Delaware’s Senate race, friends!

As National Journal’s Hotline reports today, the most recent results from a NSON Opinion Research poll of likely voters in the Senate race shows Christine O’Donnell is now just 2% back from liberal RINO Mike Castle.

The race currently stands as follows:

MIKE CASTLE: 43%

CHRISTINE O’DONNELL: 41%

Friends, with your help, Christine O’Donnell will win this campaign! We are in the middle of our $200,000 MoneyBomb to counter the $200,000 TV and radio ad blitz that liberal Mike Castle just launched. We urgently need your help so we can reach our goal of $200,000.

You can support the MoneyBomb by making a contribution – HERE.

She has to explain those personal issues in a credible way.

Perhaps Castle all of the rest of the 'ruling class' can explain in a 'credible way' how they get so rich during and after being in office.

Throw out the ruling class. They are destroying my country!

my dtr went the community college route for a few classes then transferred to a 4 yr school...after about 4 yrs or so, she graduated...I saw her do it...she was awarded a diploma and her name was listed....

then all of a sudden she is taking classes again...because she wanted to "get a second major"?????well, she took probably about 20 more credits.....but some were at the community college....

she never said this but apparently some of her credits early on were in the "wrong" area and the 4yr college on reconsideration decided she needed further credits to technically graduate.....I don't understand it but I can see how colleges can play games with you....they're in it for the money afterall...

The only poll that counts is the Nov. poll.

The Delaware primary is Sept 14. The mud has been slinging here in Delaware for about a month now. I don't think anyone is going to be influenced at this point by any of it as far as their vote in the primary.

If Christine makes it through the primary, many of us downstaters could support her in the general. She's an oddball but that means she'll fit right in down there. At least she'll follow the party line and work as part of the team. If Castle comes through the primary , he'll win with Democrat votes, but many of us will leave that line blank or give a vote to a third party candidate. There's no sense poking a stick in our own eye.

I know that one poll showed her beating Coons in the General Election.

>>>Is she was paying rent from her campaign account they’d put her in jail.<<<

I understand it was a much less expensive way to have an office (at home) than to go out and rent a building and pay all the utilities, etc. - I used to have a home office, and yes that portion that is used is legitimately an expense. It is really less expensive and much more productive.

The 2008 Campaign manager took full responsibility for taking chances that Christine said she didn’t want to do - spending based on a hunch that the money would come. He wrote that he felt badly about it and that since he didn’t have a fixed contract, he wrote off his salary to help cover his mis-deeds.

Then they have the gall to attack her for it... Then they said she is a perennial candidate - well, what do we call Castle - one year out of college at 25 he started working for the State Attorney - one year later he is a State Rep, then Senator, then Lt. Gov., then Gov., then 17 years as a Representative in the House - He has not missed a public payroll in almost 50 years - he has absolutely NO idea what it is like outside of Government - he accumulated several Million personally while there and a 3 million campaign fund.

You could not be more wrong. Please edgumecate yourself.

Sorry, but the most recent polls show O'Donnell losing to the Dem by double digits. You can decide it is better to lose with a conservative than win with a RINO, and that is a defensible opinion, but don't stick your head in the sand and pretend the truth is not what it is.

Delaware isn’t exactly a beacon of conservatism.

It will be this year. The liberal brand is extremely tarnished, thanks to Obama and Co.

For a career politician to be as far below 50% at this stage of the game, as Castle is, you better believe he can be beaten. The undecideds always go for the challenger.

And you are posting about a poll that is a month old.

“The survey of 500 Likely Voters in Delaware was conducted on August 5, 2010 by Rasmussen Reports.”

True conservatives should base their votes on principle, not on any other set of criteria.

These words are from Sen. Zacharias Montgomery in 1886, in a book he wrote defending his stand on the matter of what he called "anti-parental" education of children (public schools). His thoughts are good for all who defend what is right over political expediency:

"If I have learned anything from the reading of history, it is that the man who, in violation of great principles, toils for temporary fame, purchases for himself either total oblivion or eternal infamy, while he who temporarily goes down battling for right principles always deserves, and generally secures, the gratitude of succeeding ages, and will carry with him the sustaining solace of a clean conscience, more precious than all the offices and honors in the gift of man."

We lose if Castle is elected.

Probably true. As long as you are content with having the Dem rather than the RINO, then at least you are being consistent (I guess).

Did you run across any of the “Boot Mike Castle” signs?

I understand there are several in New Castle County.
