The news keeps getting better in Delaware’s Senate race, friends!

As National Journal’s Hotline reports today, the most recent results from a NSON Opinion Research poll of likely voters in the Senate race shows Christine O’Donnell is now just 2% back from liberal RINO Mike Castle.

The race currently stands as follows:

MIKE CASTLE: 43%

CHRISTINE O’DONNELL: 41%

Friends, with your help, Christine O’Donnell will win this campaign! We are in the middle of our $200,000 MoneyBomb to counter the $200,000 TV and radio ad blitz that liberal Mike Castle just launched. We urgently need your help so we can reach our goal of $200,000.

Why Christine?

Side By Side Comparison of Christine O’Donnell & Mike Castle:
Jobs Voted for Nancy Pelosi’s cap and tax energy scheme which would kill 6,117 Delaware jobs and also voted for the job-killing minimum wage hike. Believes jobs are created when businesses are freed from endless taxes and bureaucratic red tape.
Security Voted with liberals in Congress to handicap our intelligence and military agencies. Believes terrorism is an act of war requiring the full force of our intelligence and military resources rather than granting terrorists precious Constitutional rights and outsourcing our foreign policy to the U.N.
Debt Voted to increase the national debt & consistently supports Washington’s reckless spending. Believes heaping trillions in debt on the backs of our grandchildren is immoral and that Congress is elected to make the hard choices to preserve our nation’s future prosperity.
Taxes Voted to keep the death tax, to increase taxes by $3,100 on every American family, and to remove the protection of the middle class from dramatic tax increases originally intended to hit <200 of the richest Americans. Will fight to remove the crushing tax burden faced by American families and businesses and dramatically simplify the tax code.
Life Voted to subject children to out-of-state abortions without consent of parents, voted to use U.S. funds to support Planned Parenthood at home and abroad, supports human cloning, and sponsored the bill to destroy, exploit and experiment on unborn children as scientific lab-rats. Strongly believes in protecting the sanctity of life at ALL stages.
Energy Voted to ban exploration for American energy, keeping gas prices high, to prohibit drilling in America’s land and waters, and to ban building new oil refineries. Supports a market-based approach to energy solutions that will keep competition high and energy prices low.
Values Voted to allow liberal activist judges to strip “under God” from the Pledge of Allegiance, against the Constitutional protection of marriage, and against educational choice for parents with children in failing schools. Believes our country was founded on core values of faith, family and freedom and will fight to defend those values. Will always fight for maximum choice for parents about where to educate their kids, including private, parochial and charter schools or in the home.
Spending Voted to spend billions on failed stimulus packages & bailouts. Believes unrestrained government spending is eroding our freedom, destroying our economy and ceding our sovereignty to foreign debt- holders like China.
Accountability Voted to protect 103 outrageous pork projects that would lead to corruption and waste. Denounces corrupt pork-barrel politics, including earmarks, and will fight for increased transparency and performance information for every Federal program.
Healthcare Remained undecided about Pelosi’s government takeover of healthcare until 4 days before vote. Believes that the solution to the healthcare crisis is less government meddling in the doctor/patient relationship, more competition in the insurance market and more choice for families about their health plan.
Gun Control Received an “F” rating from the NRA, indicating a strong anti-2nd Amendment position. Christine’s strong support of 2nd Amendment rights has earned her an “A” rating from the NRA.

She's "right" on all the issues and yet, she has a lot of significant personal issues that cannot be explained away as unfair attacks by Castle and the RNC. I'm generally included to support someone like O'Donnell but she sounds like a grifter—no real job, no income, using campaign cash to pay her rent. She says the right things but has accomplished nothing. Conservatism has its share of lightweight losers and O'Donnell is one. She has to explain those personal issues in a credible way. Otherwise, if I were in Delaware I'd vote Castle even though I think he's way to squishy on a number of important issues.

For all we know, the Dem candidate may be more liberal than Castle anyway.

When the hell is DE primary? Three days before the general? Its so short of time to pivot out of a primary scrap to handle your general opponent.

No doubt (just look @ his history) that Castle is a RINO, and fingers crossed that Ms. O'Donnell wins, but is there proof that Castle would switch parties?

Specter was a Rat before becoming a RINO and back; I don't see that with Castle, he's always been a RINO.

Again, may the better candidate (Ms. O'Donnell) win, but where are these fears that Castle would switch parties coming from?

Castle has been a career politician...I’ll take the lady with “no real job” over him anyday.

My campaign to take back the language and get people to usr words correctly is working. This writer actually used "liberal RINO" ~ even though it would make much more sense for him to use the expression "mind numbed, robot-like, knee-jerk Liberal" while saving "RINO" for someone who'd actually belonged to a different party in the past.

In fact, he can call this particular candidate a "Leftwingtard" ~ which I think gets across quite well the idea that he does not belong in the Republican party in the first place.

I view this as no lose. Even if Christine wins the primary, but loses the election, it will send a lesson to RINOs everywhere.

She CAN Win the General:  *Rasmussen Polls:  According to Rasmussen this July, Christine has officially debunked the myth that she cannot win in November… hence, Republicans DO NOT have to tolerate career politician and King RINO Mike Castle’s liberalism: http://www.removerinos.com/CastleM.html

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/elections/election_2010/election_2010_senate_elections/delaware/toplines/toplines_delaware_senate_july_14_2010

Christine O’Donnell (R)

Chris Coons (D)

Some Other Candidate

Not Sure

July 12, 2010

41%

39%

7%

12%

In a large sample Rasmussen Poll last autumn a hypothetical race between Christine and possible Democrat candidate Beau Biden (the iconic name in Delaware) was tested, with both she and Biden polling in the 40’s.  In fact, Christine bested Biden (D) among Independents by approximately two-to-one.  This demonstrated real voter power, especially in light of the tremendous “Biden” name recognition.  In 2010, Christine has been able to build on her base of support as a proven vote-getter, and she now also has a professional staff assisting her. Early tests show that her online fundraising is good and will get stronger as the Americans begin to focus on the election.

It’s a special election, so the primary is pretty late.

Castle has even more personal issues to explain. For example he has ropes tied onto his hands and feet, and a big one through a hole in his head to his jaw, and Dupont and Credit Card Company interests are pulling on them.

He's built up a $3 million fortune over the years with NO REAL JOB.

Let me suggest that Castle owes an explanation first.

Not only is Castle a corrupt leftist well to the left of many Democrats, the party pros in Delaware who are pushing him are just as bad, and regularly work with the Democrats to get their share of pork.

That needs to be cleaned up. Castle must be defeated. Why listen to the lies that Castle has been spending big bucks to smear all over O’Donnell? Apparently the Republican smearmeister propaganda plan isn’t working, since she has been steadily gaining on both Castle and the Democrat candidate in recent polls.

The problem with Castle is not that he’s a RINO, but that he appears to be a Lincoln Chaffee RINO - which means that he is so far off the reservation, that his voting record is only slightly more conservative than an average Democrat. If you look at many of my earlier posts, I have ALWAYS defended Snowe and Collins (of Maine), even though they are pro-choice and often go against the conservatives. The difference is that those women still voted to put Roberts (and others) on the Court and have been with us on almost all key votes - definitely not true with Chaffee.

From what I can see regarding Castle, he WILL NEVER be there for us, and therefore we might as well roll the dice with Christine...and in any case, all she has to do to win in November is make sure her election is a referendum on Obama, and not her - and Obama is making that VERY EASY to do.

If Spector was a Rat before running as a Republican, he’s an authentic RINO. If he went back to being a Rat that’s their problem. This guy has never been a Republican ~ so he’s never been a RINO. He is, of course, a Leftwingtard puke, but no one asked him to switch to run as a Republican (as far as anyone knows).
