Princess Diana was captivating, over-emotional and a "manipulator," former British Prime Minister Tony Blair says in his new memoir.
"I really liked her and, of course, was as big a sucker for a beautiful princess as the next man: but I was wary too," Blair wrote, saying he was on guard against her "wildness of emotions," referring to her as an "unpredictable meteor."
In Blair's "A Journey," he discusses his meeting with Diana a month before her tragic death in a 1997 car crash to tell the Princess of Wales that her relationship with millionaire Egyptian playboy Dodi Fayed was a "problem."

Tony, Tony,
Can't we let the dead rest in peace. What good does it do anyone to bring this up now. You give fuel to her enemies and hurt her sons and family.
Sometimes, Tony, discretion is the better part of valor, and you've shown neither. I expected better from you. That was my mistake.

you cannot talk about someone because they are dead? I don’t think what he said was all that bad.

Beautiful women will use their beauty to manipulate men - who the heck would have thunk it!
Also included in the book - night follows day, heavy objects dropped from a building will always fall downward, and sleeping in the rain with your mouth open may cause drowning.

Many good looking Pretty much all women are manipulators.
Fixed.... :-)

You must have a very low opinion of all women to say something like that because ALL women aren’t like Diana.

Of course you can talk about the dead. I'm writing a biography of Jeb Stuart and write about Jackson, Lee, Bragg, etc.
I just think Tony's comment was more for "sensationalism" than anything else. At least that's how it struck me this morning. I could be wrong though.

Manipulation knows no gender preference. Although I do understand why you may say that. My daughters and I are not like that in general and we cannot stand “Drama Mamas”.

Correct. If you read the passage that the article prints here, he was not being unkind to Diana. In fact, he gives her a lot of credit that many others don’t.
