Tampa, Florida -- An incident aboard a United Airlines flight to Tampa resulted in nine foreign-born people being removed from the airplane and left several passengers shaken. In fact, several thought the incident was serious enough that they asked to be booked on another flight.
At least 15 passengers who arrived in Tampa Monday on a United flight were supposed to be here Sunday night. However, the incident involving the nine men changed everything.

Must have been trying to pray during ramadan. It's difficult to find East if you're not moving around the plane.
The airlines should have muzzie-mats throughout the plane to accommodate them during prayer times.
Thanks for posting this. I wondered if anyone had any more info on this. I read they were “foreign” - not sure what that is code for except Muslim.

The airlines must be having “Book a flight, bring a terrorist friend” this week.
TSA has no problems with fake bombs in checked luggage...

The Ramadan Aggression has begun, look at the incidents in Europe yesterday.
I would have a hard time not grabbing the nearest blunt instrument and laying into all nine of them.Therefore I do not fly.

The interesting thing is that they were able to board the aircraft. My guess is they checked in fairly late, which put their bags through the baggage x-ray machines close enough to push-back that they were able to board. But I doubt their bags were ever boarded...let me rephrase...I hope their bags were never boarded!

I know this is of topic but I’m staving.
Where was the picture taken?
My guess is that they deliberately let them board.
That way they can identify them by seat assignment, much simpler than asking everyone in the terminal to show their ID.
Also, little danger of them bolting and forcing an entire airport into lockdown.
Like an elevator, an airplane is a techno-trap...
