President Barack Obama dismissed a recent poll showing that a third of Americans don’t know he’s a Christian – and blamed an online campaign of misinformation by his conservative enemies for perpetuating the myth that he’s a Muslim.
“I can’t spend all of my time with my birth certificate plastered on my forehead,” Obama told NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams, sitting under a tent in a rain-soaked New Orleans, where he commemorated the fifth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina.
“The facts are the facts. We went through some of this during the campaign — there is a mechanism, a network of misinformation that in a new media era can get churned out there constantly,” said a visibly annoyed Obama, referring to “birthers,” who have waged a guerilla campaign questioning the validity of his Hawaiian birth certificate.
“I will always put my money on the American people, and I’m not going to be worried too much about what rumors are floating around there.”
A stunning 18 percent of Americans identify Obama as Muslim, according to a Pew poll released earlier this month. Only a third identified Obama, who speaks passionately about his faith in his autobiography, as Christian.

At this point what we need to do is keep our eyes on how these places report. If their report is not factually correct, we need to e-mail or snail-mail letters to them so we can document that they were informed about the true facts and the need to correct their errors.
If they refuse to correct their errors we need to document it, because selectively reporting only half the story and hiding other relevant facts is a violation of the Federal General False Statement Act. We need to hold the media’s feet to the fire on this; make them report accurately, given what has already been revealed.
If we can get a bunch of people working on this end of things it will greatly help.
In fact, Lucy, can you ping everybody on this post? This will be covered in the media (hopefully) in the next couple days but today and tomorrow are my busiest days for my part-time job so I won’t be able to do a whole lot during that time. The more we can spread the news on our own AND document the media’s refusal to report all the facts, the better.
A lot of us have been saying it’s a crime what the media has been doing. Well, it literally is. We need to get cracking on letting them know we know that.

Good point, but Zero is the master of the Straw Man argument. He cannot argue that it is wise or thoughtful to build a mosque at Ground Zero, where thousands died at the hands of Islamists. Thus, he argues instead that Muslims have the right to build mosques and that he can’t paste his birth certificate to his forehead at all times. With regard to the Ground Zero mosque, no one has suggested that Muslims have no right to build mosques or that Zero’s birth certificate in any way applies (except if he had produced it at the proper time, he wouldn’t have the bully pulpit he currently inhabits). Zero is such a poor lawyer and orator that he can’t win real arguments, so he constructs straw men and slays them. Zero is no rhetorical hero.

Glad you reposted your comments on this thread, Candor7. I’m pretty sure that Hannity showed the video of BO’s comments about his BC. As I recall, Hannity just looked puzzled and wondered why he would’ve made the coment.

Obama COULD have pulled his fraud off, if he had acted like an American, but he is too much of a leftist to do that. I believe we have him now, we just have to stay at it.I have been spending 4 hours a day posting about his fraud in various places, for the last 3 weeks.Many of us do more. And each of us in educated on the facts, and the facts win out over everything the opposition can throw at us.
And those facts were forged right here on the FR anvil of truth.

Yes, and its happening all over the country. The people are getting it. And our role played no small part.
That word of mouth is critical. Especially with both the media and the courts being such slimeballs, the facts we uncover don’t make any difference unless we have a way to make the public aware of them so they can apply pressure to the system to resolve this issue.
Everybody has a role to play, and we need it all. So I hope that nobody EVER gives in to the temptation to think that what they’re doing is insignificant. I know I don’t say it as often as I should, but I am EXTREMELY grateful and appreciative of the people who get the word out. We’re making headway as a team, and the team would be nowhere without the people spreading the word.

I have a couple of friends who sends me e-mail with different political issues or cartoons, etc.!
On these e-mails they also include the whole list of other e-mail recipients!!
So I turn around and click “reply all” and send back information to them mostly gathered from FR or with links to youtube, etc. A good avenue to reach strangers too!!!
