Time to turn the lights on and see how bad the roach problem is in this most "transparent" of administrations.

The idea of the Rinocratic Oligarchy probing itself seems more than a little obscene.

I’d rather hear at least an attempt at a spending freeze before any investigations.

Used to be that was SOP in bad financial times, now it’s never mentioned. Yes, I want investigations but for God’s sake, stop the bleeding before you worry about what caused it.

Politico only writes this story because it hopes that somehow it will send a negative message..... Republicans are only interested in investigating their opponents, have no plans to do anything worth wile should they be elected.

Are you kidding?

Republicans are too busy trying to steal elections from conservatives.

They would never investigate Obama. They have been too bust assisting him the past year and a half.

Forget the investigations and focus on fiscal responsibility!

I want very badly to have the lights turned on. But, even more than that, I want vast areas of the government defunded and eliminated. Turn off the money spigot to all leftist causes and groups. Just as the Obama administration came out swinging with vast favoritism and spending programs, the Republicans should come out swinging with the elimination of funding all things that keep the Democrats in power.

One of the most STUPID things I have read is that Republicans would be hesitant to eliminate jobs people have just been hired for under Obama. Well, these newly hired bureaucrats are going to make life miserable for millions of Americans, and we should be concerned about THEIR jobs? Piss on the all. Fire 90% of the Government.

While there may be some room for a few well-timed investigations, spending the next two years fighting the Obama administration in this way will be bad for the GOP's prospects in 2012. If you think the media's carried water for Obama to date, it would be nothing compared to what the future would bring.

The GOP needs to stick to the basics. Challenge and put forth bills to repeal and defund Obamacare; reign in spending significantly, and above all, start sending pro-business signals to turn the economy around.

If this article is indeed true (and I’m dubious), this is a very bad idea. The main and secondary concentration should be the economy. How to trim budgets and cut back the federal largeses and how to unleash the economy from it’s federal shackles.

If they get bogged down in subpeonas and fighting against Obama, they will look as out of touch as Democrats do right now and make Obama a sympathetic figure. No, make him veto or sign bills that would help the economy.

If the republicans do gain control of Congress and do nothing but launch one investigation after another I was never vote for another Republican in my life. This country has enormous problems to address. Getting people back to work and cutting spending are jobs 1 and 2.

I don’t know whether a “wave of investigations” is a good idea or not, but I do know this: if the house Republicans don’t choose a solid, articulate, principled spokesman who can articulate the reason for each investigation and to keep the media apprised of each investigation’s progress and the meaning of the results obtained, on a daily basis, the democrat/media axis will kill them. It’ll be all racism, all homophobia, all class warfare, all the time, until 2012, when Obama will sail to a second-term victory and (there’s a good chance) the GOP will be turned out of power once again.

If I was in Lamar Smith's place, I'd investigate Holder so thoroughly he'd have to submit receipts for his socks.

Holder is criminal of the nth degree. It shouldn't take too much to find that ONE smoking gun memo and/or email that'd put him in the Graybar Hotel for 10 years. And that would just be the start.

As the saying goes: I'd beat him like a rented mule.
(legally of course)
