What to Expect When Expecting Heaven (2005-Imam Faisal Abdul Rauf)

There's no contest. Of all the major religions, the Muslims have the most graphic view of heaven. It's refreshing, in fact. They don't mess around invoking vague spaces of peace and light; they come through with Relais et Châteaux specifics. One imam tells Barbara Walters on her ABC special tonight: "We will be in comfortable homes, reclining on silk couches. We will have people coming - servants, lovely servants, young youths to regale you, Barbara. Residing in gardens beyond which rivers flow."

Yes - to cut to the chase - there will be virgins, too. Even for women. (Barbara's "youths.") And why not? So says Imam Faisal Abdul Rauf, who quarrels only with the widespread misconception that Islamic martyrs get 72 virgins. Seventy-two, he says, is just an Arabic expression for "countless."

This sounds more like hell.

What a bunch of fools. They think heaven is laying around with SERVANTS and VIRGINS to RAPE. Sickos at a minimum.

If the walls were not jasper
And the streets were not gold
If every mansion would crumble
and if folks still grew old
Still I would see everything
That my soul longs to see
For Jesus will be
What makes it Heaven for me

“Yes - to cut to the chase - there will be virgins, too. Even for women.”

Great, that’s just what I want when I get to heaven. An inexperienced male.

So, tell me, Imam Faisal Abdul Rauf, just who is it that will enjoy the conforts of this made up heaven of yours, hmmmmm????? Certainly not those who are going to be the servants or the virgins. I would also surmise that not all followers of Islam will enjoy these conforts, as your slaves, servants, and virgins will have to come from somewhere. Or, would you have your robot jihadists believe that the infidel will be the slaves, servants, virgins in this Islamic version of heavan? Seems to me that what I’ve heard about the Koran and it’s tenents regarding the infidel, they will be sent to hell, no? So, who are the benefactors?

So, Islam's idea of heaven is an endless whore house? So was mine - when I was 14.

But I've progressed beyond that. Now I want to be in the presence of my Lord, along with my family, friends and those saints who have gone on before and those will follow after. It will be wonderful. What a glorious reunion with an eternity to praise Him for his goodness and mercy!

Muslims are so, so deceived by their demonic religion.

So an Islamic heaven consists of an eternity sexually exploiting young servants. Given how many Arabs physically abuse their Asian servants, it's clear some aren't willing to wait for the after-life to get started.

What does it say about a culture that covers it's women from head to toe, locks them out of sight, and longs for an after-life whose main attraction is the ability to sexually exploit "countless" young, virginal servants? And what does it say about the utter ethical bankruptcy of Western liberalism that it sits there nodding in slack-jawed approval on hearing of this stone-age belief system?

What does it say about a culture that covers it's women from head to toe

On public transit today I saw something I'd never seen before. A lady clad in a black abayah boarded the bus. She HAD HER FACE COVERED so only her eyes were showing. However, when she approached the driver to pay her fare, she uncovered the rest of her face. When she sat down in her seat, she covered the lower half of her face with her scarf again.

There were other women on board also in Muslim dress. They were several seats back, all with uncovered faces. I had the impression, however, that they looked on the covered lady with approval.

I believe I will be seeing more "covered faces" in the neighborhood. Not a good thing when someone needs to check your ID to see if that's your bank account, credit card, driver's license, employee ID, etc.

The incident made me reflect on a recent news article's statement about Muslims in Denmark and the changes a society undergoes when Muslims become an increasingly larger percentage of the population. The article indicated that the threshold for problems was around 4 or 5 percent. For what it's worth, Wikipedia has the U.S. at 0.8 percent as of October 2009.

I have a question...What did the virgins do to get there? I mean...are virgin women told that if they become a martyr they go to heaven and get to be repeatedly defiled by old men without teeth? And then, once they are defiled, they are not virgins anymore..so what happens to them? I am very confused.

“So what happens to ‘em when they’re no longer virgins?”

No problem, it’s like that movie Ground Hog Day.
