A freelance audio operator covering a protest at the site of a proposed mosque and community center near Ground Zero has been reprimanded for his behavior.
Andrea Lafferty, who was a speaker at the mosque opposition rally, first noticed the audio operator questioning a man in the crowd who was holding a sign which read, "No Sharia Here." On Andrew Brietbart's Big Journalism, Lafferty writes:
He was very aggressive, disrespectful and condescending; apparently, he did not like the man's answers about Shariah and pushed the point: "Why do you feel threatened? What are you afraid of? Why can't you answer my questions?" Lafferty then began asking her own questions of the audio op, following him to an ABC News van and snapping several pictures along the way.
In my opinion, the ABC employee's role at the rally was to provoke a confrontation with participants so ABC News cameras could record it and then use the footage; literally, making news. ABC News spokesman Jeffrey Schneider tells TVNewser the network has looked into Lafferty's complaint and agrees that the tech "aggressively" questioned members of the crowd with his personal camera.
Adds Schneider, "He was not instructed to perform interviews or to engage with protesters and was there solely as an audio tech. He has been reprimanded for his behavior at this event."
Well, it’s a positive sign that ABC at least felt enough pressure to take this step.
We have to keep up the pressure, folks. They wouldn’t have done this out of the goodness of their hearts (I’m sure every last one of them is a mosque supporter).

The correct answers are:
"Why are you trying to bring back slavery?"
"Why are you in favor of stoning gay people to death?"
"Do you believe adultery is a capital crime?"

Oh my god - this is the guy who came up to me and took issue with my sign, which said NO MOSQUE AT GROUND ZERO - ITS NOT ABOUT FREEDOM OF RELIGION - ITS ABOUT RESPECT FO THE (3,000) DEAD. He said, Are you sure it was 3,000 and not 2,997? Isnt it disrespectful not to know exactly how many people died? He was totally condescending and mocking. I told him Who cares what you think? and walked away. Wow - Im totally amazed. I assumed he was from some fringe news outlet - turns out it was ABC - well, come to think of it, I wasnt far wrong!

ABC says it will use this pro-terrorist jackoff again, which means ABC is complicit in his behavior, PERIOD. Thanks Beaten Valve.
Let’s erect two story crosses next to Abortion Clinics and when liberals protest - we can ask, “what are you afraid of?”. Liberals are bullies.
Liberals are bullies. Eff ABC NEWS - they're a conserve-a-phobe group anyhow...
Thanks for pointing this out to me - I hadn’t seen it! I’m glad he at least got that - though I agree with the person on here who said that they probably reprimanded him because he was dumb enough to get caught!
There were at least 1,000 conservatives on the capital grounds but the media in attendance seemed to be drawn to these guys like flies to honey. So, instead of getting the story out that average Americans were mad as hell about Obama and the Democrat Party, they came away with a story about kooks who had a problem with lactation.
I suspect they were plants - sent there by someone (liberals, the media?) to make the crowd look like fringe kooks who were not to be taken seriously.
So, could I believe that the media could be staging some of this to discredit the Tea Parties and Republicans? You betcha.
danny, ha ha great photo of a so called journalist. Thank God for FOX
Joeseph Goebbels is the only one who would accept an apology from ABC.
Our media outlets are mere agents of fascism.

His reprimand was probably a promotion to reporter for the All Barack Channel.
