Voters now trust Republicans more than Democrats on all 10 of the important issues regularly tracked by Rasmussen Reports.
The GOP has consistently been trusted on most issues for months now, but in July they held the lead on only nine of the key issues.
Republicans lead Democrats 47% to 39% on the economy, which remains the most important issue to voters. Those numbers are nearly identical to those found in June. Republicans have held the advantage on the economy since May of last year.
But for the first time in months, Republicans now hold a slight edge on the issues of government ethics and corruption, 40% to 38%. Voters have been mostly undecided for the past several months on which party to trust more on this issue, but Democrats have held small leads since February. Still, more than one-in-five voters (22%) are still not sure which party to trust more on ethics issues.
Government ethics and corruption have been second only to the economy in terms of importance to voters over the past year.

This adds up to a blowout in November.
Sure hope Obama, Pelosi and Reid, et al keep doing what they’ve been doing. It’s working great. (For us)
Let's not count chickens before they hatch. Lots of things can happen between now and then, especially underhanded attempts by the CommieLeftists to hijack the elections.
But if you're right, that doesn't mean we can sit back and rest on our laurels like the Pubbies did back in '94. Lilly-livered liberal RINO Pubbies got us into this mess, so it's time to make sure a newly elected GOP Congress is conservative in word and deed.
That means We The People will have to stay on them like ticks on a hound, and jerk their chains every time they so much as stray one inch from the conservative path.
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
I hope so, but they better damn well understand the trust we are giving them again, we need to turn this thing around, get out of debt, no matter what it takes as far as cutting government size and bs.
Never misunderestimate the ability of the GOP to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory at the last possible moment.
The old guard GOP loves being in a minority. They get all the perks and pay of being in Congress without having to be accountable for any results.
Count me among them. Though I want the dems OUT in the worst way and will support the GOPers to that end, the GOPers have a lot of proving to do to show they deserve to stay there. If they simply resume the corrupt crap they pulled in the early to mid 2000s, they're going to be swept out in short order.
Like Bob Michel a few decades ago.
The old guard GOP loves being in a minority.
That's the quote I needed in there, actually.
We have to hold their feet to the fire, just as we did their predecessors last summer.
And they have to know that this is going to happen as well.
No complacency allowed on our part, just because “our guys” are in there.
There will be half a billion dollars of stimulus funds that go into democrat coffers to help out in this November’s election.
It will be in the form of every PAC you can imagine, and hidden away like the foreign donations were in 2008.
This November is far from certain about anything but being interesting.
And after the GOP takes power next January, I see there top priorities as follows,
1)Defund Obamacare and make it ILLEGAL to spend any money whatsoever on any portion of it.
2)Get the budget under control. If there is any money from the stimulus bills left over, repeal all of them.
3)Get the president under control by starting to eliminate MANY of the federal agencies that he is using to try to destroy the nation, beginning with the EPA.

The main problem with Congress is that only the voters in their state or district can hold their rep’s or senator’s feet to the fire. Those of us not in the northeast have no say over how Olympia Snowe votes. Unless we’re in South Carolina we can’t hold our own guy responsible for Lindsey Gramnesty.
The best we can do is support individual candidates instead of giving to the RNC, the Senatorial Committee, or other general funds.
Don’t rule out George Soros buying enough voters for the Dems to win.
How to counter the Democraps’ inevitable vote fraud threat must be of paramount concern because, if the fraud succeeds, positive trends and everything done right by the GOP will be moot.
Not that I trust any pollsters, but this is enough to make dems squirm and me smile.

In my opinion, trusting the Repubs, especially now, is a mistake!
The two-party system itself is a trap!
It is choice between Mr FLIM or Mr FLAM!
There is no lesser of evils; both are evil!
Read the following..and its remarks/links, etc.
Then, THINK!
Or the Unions. Let’s face it, they’ve promised to throw a wad of cash into the elections. It’s sad when you have to tie a pork chop around your neck to get the dog to play with you, but we’ve returned to the bad old days.
Always run a campaign as though you are 20 points behind in the polls and do not stop until the polls close at 7 p.m. There are still October surprises to come at the last minute when there is no time to refute the accusations — even if you have the money left to get the word out, there is no time.
Even if we get our candidates elected, it is up to us to make certain they understand that if they drop the ball, we’ll be looking to replace them next election. It’s only as good as we make it, folks.
