That's $50 to $100 too high. Big 5 in my area has them on sale for $99.00 this week with a normal price of $159.00 when they have them (usually the M91/30, but sometimes the M38 and M40).
Cheaper than dirt will sell you 440 rounds of surplus 7.62x54r for $95 plus shipping (about $25), so that works out to about $0.28 a pop (bang?).
I suckered for mine at $159 about 18 months ago. Then they had them on sale about two months later for $99.
Yeah, ain’t it grand? Why am I all of the sudden reminded of the Sunni gangs constantly clashing with Shi’ite gangs in Baghdad due to each group trying to murder the other’s people? Some of those gangs were rock stars to the populace b/c they protected the people. This seems like a prototype of that situation.

Therefore I feel NO guilt, neither personal nor by association, over anything that has happened previously. None.
So, I expect all races to be held to the same damn standards. No special considerations based upon color of any kind.

The ads usually say the Mosins are 91/30s, no information on the dates or where they were manufactured - that requires going to the store and looking them over. However, when I bought mine, they advertised the M40 (I wound up buying an M38). If I remember correctly, the 91/30s are longer than the M38 by about 10 inches.
I bought a refurb M38 for 129 with crap bayonet and 30 rounds ..at gun show
