The Mosin-Nagant is really tempting. I’ve since found a bull pup replacement stock that should make the lenght more managable because I want to put a silencer on the end to managed the blast. I’m already half-deaf and dont want to be full deaf.
Wish I could believe that I could tune it to 1 MOA. Any ideas or recommendations?
Stand closer to the target? Seriously, I'm the wrong guy to ask - I grew up working on small-block Chevys for a hobby and am really new to guns. I shot them on occasion growing up, but I've put more rounds through various guns in the last year than in my prior 40 years, and that's not saying much. It's why I'm competing now, to get better and learn more from folks who know.
I did make it a lot nicer to shoot with the aftermarket ATI Monte Carlo stock. I can put 55 rounds through it and still lift my right arm when I'm done. Heck, I don't even feel like I've shot the thing. The original stock hurt after five rounds.
Cheaper than Dirt sells it for about $60 plus shipping.
