Cabela’s, last Saturday, had a “door buster sale” on 7.72X54 Nagants (IIRC) - $199.
Thought about it, but didn’t need another caliber to feed.

Cabelas, last Saturday, had a door buster sale on 7.72X54 Nagants (IIRC) - $199.That's $50 to $100 too high. Big 5 in my area has them on sale for $99.00 this week with a normal price of $159.00 when they have them (usually the M91/30, but sometimes the M38 and M40).
Cheaper than dirt will sell you 440 rounds of surplus 7.62x54r for $95 plus shipping (about $25), so that works out to about $0.28 a pop (bang?).

Forgot to mention that the Mosins usually go on reduced-price sale at Big 5 at least once a month.
I suckered for mine at $159 about 18 months ago. Then they had them on sale about two months later for $99.
