It seems that some within the Mainstream Media have been trying to send the American public a clear message, “It is time for you to get over the 9-11 attacks.”
A majority of Americans have always seen the attacks of 9-11 as being on par with the attack upon Pearl Harbor since the dual attacks happened within our nation.
The members of the Mainstream Media always saw the attacks as the defining moment of the much-hated Bush Presidency. Now that another of President Obama’s teachable moments has blown up in his face, some of the Mainstream Media have sought to portray the growing opposition to a Community Center/ Mosque, two blocks from Ground Zero as an issue of racism and religious freedom.

One notes that Olbermann and other foaming-at-the-mouth Lefties blame Bush for 9-11 although he had been president just 8 months. But blame Obozo (in office for 19 months) for our economic collapse and you’re just an evil racist.
It’s ok for Muslims to hold grudges for a thousand years - and act violently because of those thousand year old grudges - but we should get over 9/11 in a decade.
And they wonder why their readership is drying up!

Cutting directly to the chase, it’s truly incredible. They are still trying to browbeat us into submission by insulting us and calling us names.
They know public opinion has turned foursquare against them, and their Islamist pets, but it’s their only trick and all they know how to do is double down as though making us even angrier somehow makes them feel better.

Seems to me the mainstream media is pummeling us once again with the notion that they know what’s good for us, regardless of how we feel about the issue.

The Left has always been steamed up by 9/11 - not because we were attacked but because it inhibited their ability to concentrate attention on “the evils of capitalism.” A new, different enemy had surfaced, that had nothing to do with the “villains” they had in their crosshairs.
Their hatred for the fact of 9/11 is now spewing out - in their hysterical smears of victims’ families and other opponents of the GZ mosque and their attempts to deny the threat of Islamic terrorism. If only, if only 9/11 would just go away...

My folks never, NEVER bought anything Japanese ever again. Truth. They knew people at Pearl & in Honolulu who were killed. They also never went to Hawaii, although my mom wanted to go. My dad was done with the whole nation.
They also never went to France or Germany, which I found curious. Austria, OK. Switzerland, OK. Axis countries were no dice. At all.
We’ll get over 9/11 when the MSM gets over ‘it’s Bush’s fault’. Not gonna happen, and even if by some miracle they do, we’ll still not get over it. 9/11 was my generation’s ‘Pearl Harbor’ and we will NOT FORGET.
