COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) A city official in Ohio says President Barack Obama misspoke this week when he cited a local project as a stimulus success.
At the home of a Columbus architect, Obama said his administration's economic program had helped his host because the man was working on a new police station funded in part with stimulus dollars.
But Columbus city finance director Paul Rakosky says the project is actually converting a vacant building into a new police crime lab, and he says no stimulus money is involved. Rakosky, who's a Democrat, says the funding originated in Congress.
Asked for a comment, a White House spokesman said one of the key points of the president's trip was to highlight job creation by small businesses, like architect's.
Who was the goof architect who allowed his home to be used for such a lame campaign event?
Just once, will a reported ask Obey-me what this guy is going to do for work when the stimulus money dries up?
We could fill the universe with what he doesn’t get right
All of that is OK. But if you call someone a liar, the room is likely to get real quiet. You don't say stuff like that.
But I think the time approaches when decent people have to realize that Obama lies shamelssly. Clinton lied a lot. But Clinton lied well. Clinton wanted you to believe his lies. Obama? I think he lies -- I think he knows that we know that he lies -- and I don't think he cares in the slightest that we know.
It's just another way in which he gives the finger to America.
He's not really addressing anyone when he speaks. He's talking to himself. Literally. It's all show-biz, in the shallowest, most narcissistic meaning of the term.
The truth never stopped obama. Every time he pats himself on the back it’s preceded with some kind of crudely made up story, or a flat out lie.
The 9th circus court ruled lying is free speech. (Stolen Valor)
