It just won't go away. The Pew Research Center reports that a growing number of Americans -- nearly one in five -- think President Obama is a Muslim, despite evidence to the contrary.
At 18 percent, the number is up from 11 percent in March 2009, soon after he took office. The nationwide telephone survey reached more than 3,000 on landlines and cell phones in late July and early August -- before the president's comments last weekend in support of the right of Muslims to build a mosque in Lower Manhattan near the site of the 9/11 attacks.
"The view that Obama is a Muslim is more widespread among his political opponents than among his backers," Pew said. "Roughly a third of conservative Republicans (34 percent) say Obama is a Muslin, as do 30 percent of those who disapprove of Obama's job performance. but even among his supporters and allies, less than half now say Obama is a Christian."
Obama is a Protestant, although he has not affiliated with a church since moving to Washington. His father was Muslim and the family lived for a period during his childhood in Indonesia, a huge Muslim country. In Chicago before his election as president, Obama was a member of a United Church of Christ congregation (famously led by the Rev. Jeremiah Wright).
Lingering questions and rumors about the president's religious faith and citizenship, often spread on the Internet, are an annoying distraction for the White House. Obama's faith adviser, Joshua DuBois, told the Washington Post that "while the president has been diligent and personally committed to his own Christian faith, there's certainly folks who are intent on spreading falsehoods about the president and his values and beliefs."

It really is very hard to tell who is a Muslim insofar as one of the aspects of their ideology is to lie to non-Muslims as a method of achieving their ends. The combination of the earlier interview where “My muslim faith” rolls so easily off Obama’s tongue and he only corrects himself when reminded by the reporter and his unwavering support of building a mosque on the graves of 3000 Americans makes one wonder though.
It may well be that he’s a Muslim who is merely using the American left to destroy America (if this is his goal, then he certainly won’t be concerned with reelection).

On a parallel matter, Obama is redistricting America as we speak, using the 2010 census. The defining parameters will be to cloister racial and ethnic minorites into their own Congressional constituncies. Subsequently the plan is to pit that block of racial and ethnic minority voters against the rest of America. The “ minority rights” aspect of this mosque argument will then be applied to budgeting. Special federal programs to provide “historical justice “ for the so called ‘exploited” will be put in place. Using fannie / freddie for affirmative action lending nearly destroyed our nation and the world economy, and now Obama wants to remake Fannie /Freddie? You can imagine the image in which he will remake these bogus institutions, even Barney Frank is bailing.
There is a very large comprehensive plan, and the mosque right now is the icon on a much larger political battle front. America is kept ignorant of this larger battle. The Obama Utopia is a cultural mosaic, not a melting pot, and he is quietly going about this redefinition of America which will now be rammed down our throats , using his executive powers, the Supreme Court, and a cowed Congress.
Obama will not unite America, he intends to divide it and conquer it, and will use force to do so if he thinks it necessary.Thats why he manifests a burgeoning Secret Service personal security plan which now freezes our municipalities as he travels about our nation.Its a message, part of his campaign to cow America into submission.
This mosque must not be built, if it is, it will likely be destroyed. As Rush Limbaugh says, can one imagine building a Shinto Temple adjacent to the USS Arizona at Pearl Harbor, 10 years after it happened there?

1. Marxism is a materialist philosophy of political economics. As such, it is inherently atheistic. It is also explicitly atheistic.
2. Obama has not been observed practicing Muslim religious ritual. He hasn't publicly recited shahadah, the confession of faith. He hasn't practiced salah, the daily prayers. He does not give zakat to Islamic charities. He doesn't fast during Ramadan. The White House kitchen is not halal. He sips beer. He's never been to Mecca for hajj.
3. He attended an ostensibly Christian church for decades. Though unorthodox, Obama's church is certainly not Islamic.
Sure, Obama was arguably born a Muslim. Barack Abu-Barack was nominally a Muslim. But Barack Al-Akbar does not publicly profess Islam. Since adults get to choose their own religion in America, the assertion that Barack Al-Akbar is a Muslim is pretty flimsy.
The close association of Rev. Wright's church with the Nation of Islam is well know. You are quite shaky on this point.

That being said, I DO think he's 'Muslim Friendly'. And that's due to his childhood influence in Indonesia. And more 'friendly' to Islam than to Christianity or any other religion.

This was a statement by Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul Gheit on Nile-TV. It was made on the «Round table show».
This is the statement recorded:
Adul Gheit said he had a one-on-one meeting with Obama, where the US President told him that He was still a Muslim, the son of a Muslim father, the step son of Muslim stepfather, that his half brothers in Kenya are Muslims, and that he was sympatetic towards the Muslim agenda.
Adul Gheit claimed Obama told the Arabs to show patience. Obama promised that once he overcame some domestic issues, like the Health care reform, he would show the Muslim World how to deal with Israel.
In that speech, he appears to take personal offense at any slight toward Islam. Very personal. A Very personal, angry, petulant tone. The setting is also very important. 99.9999 percent of Christians dont even know what Iftar is, or what Ramadan is, and he is celebrating it in the white House, surrounded by Muslims. Since that speech, I have talked to most of my relatives, and all in my family agree he is Muslim. No one questions his Muslim faith in my family. He is a Mohammedan. They see him as a liar.
He’s also rather shakey on point #4.
