And the LE in California wonders why I refuse to sell to them. Let’s just give that pathetic excuse of a state to China, clear our debt and be done with it. (I’m only being half sarcastic there...)

I don’t see how any self respecting person could stomach living in that facist regime state.

Of course the criminal element will rush right in to register their long guns so they can comply with the law.

Courts have ruled that the criminal element cannot be legally required to register their guns, because they have a Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. Isn't that rich?

Do you want to waste time by asking that question again?

I see that you were so intent on posting a snotty response that you totally managed to miss the point, so I'll spell it out in terms that even a californian or a new yorker could understand. My point being that there is a sustantial core of police worshiping freepers who have the mistaken notion that somehow in spite of being part of the government bureaucracy the "police are on our side." regarding constitutional rights. Everything I've observed and read shows that nothing could be farther from the truth, and I was using this as an example of it. Do you understand now?

Heading in the opposite direction as the rest of the country.

They're just trying to make the Mexicans feel at home.

How’s everything going, Myrddin?

You were having some health issues a while back, right?

See ya’,

Why anyone who is even remotely in their right mind is still living in Kookifornia is a complete mystery to me. We really really need to just give it to Mexico and have an end to it. Let the Mexicans have to deal with all the lunatics and crazies. See how long it takes them to beg us to take it back.

The health issues come and go. Doing fine for now. I would love to be back home in Idaho, but my extended business trip to San Diego just keeps getting extended.

This kind of crap was a big factor in my move
from San Diego to Pocatello, ID. Less crime,
lower taxes, less expensive housing, fewer
people, a fiscally responsible government and
many more.

Yikes!

I was born and raised there, I would hate to go back.

My dad was born and raised in Idaho Falls, though, and I spent years in North Idaho. I was Dad had stayed there, rather than L.A.!

Take care, it must be hard to be away from beautiful North Idaho!

I hope your health gets better...

See ya’,

Ed

I live in the Pocatello area. I’ve visited Twin Falls,
Hailey and cities up I-15/US20. I have not been
west of Twin Falls since arriving in Dec 2000.

I took my Versys home August 6th with 9600 miles
accrued over the last year. The Harley Roadster is
getting some use in San Diego until I leave. I’ve
put over 1200 miles on it since it was purchased on
Jun 4th.

California gun control advocates tried something like this in 1982 in a ballot initiative. The pro-gun forces won by a landslide.

Long-arm serial numbers are not included on the current paperwork. Only the serial numbers for handguns are currently listed on the paperwork. When you buy a rifle today it just says long gun or rifle. There is no registration because they do not list the serial number. That is what will change.
